I personally know a person that has been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency with a side of CFS that scores insane amounts of Adderall for it.AI is becoming a real munchie honeypot and I have no fucking idea why. All it scores you is steroids and the terrible side effects thereof. At least the MCAS girls can leverage it to get out of anything they don't want to do by claiming allergies.
For context, before the unnecessary

Longterm steroid use really fucks up your body, right? Maybe they do it, so they don't have to fake anymore?I personally know a person that has been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency with a side of CFS that scores insane amounts of Adderall for it.
If that’s the treatment I can see how it would be up and coming.
You would think with the low dose given for AI they wouldn't have side effects, but we all know they munch to the point of "needing" steroid doses higher than any ever documented anywhere for physiologic replacement.Longterm steroid use really fucks up your body, right? It is addisons disease. Primary AI is addisons, when the glands themselves are kaput, and secondary AI is when the pituitary gland is not working properly and isnt making ACTH so the adrenal glands aren’t getting it.Isn't Adrenal Insufficiency similar to Addison's Disease?
Also if you smoke weed all day every day, your ACTH naturally decreases over time. Not enough to cause secondary AI, but enough that you might get a low normal AM cortisol reading every so often. It is addisons disease. What I think they’re being ‘diagnosed’ (annd it’s not a listed diagnosis AFAIK is andrenal fatigue. The idea of ‘adrenal fatigue’ is pretty controversial and a lot of doctors don’t believe it exists. Stress constantly isn’t good for you and it does seem logical that constant stress can make you ill (I don’t think anyone would deny that) but the idea that it’s caused by your adrenals literally burning out isn’t one that’s accepted.
They symptoms are vague and the usual TATT stuff that could be anything from being depressed and fat to having a body riddled with tumours.
“thank you so much for doing the wording for me Sam!”Speaking of steroids, whenever I see Mairead (chroniczebra) post now, I feel like I'm channeling Kate Farms Shill asking "is it worth it, Mairead?"

Oh, also, Allyson got bored and is busy working on a return to an inpatient treatment program and advertising her "anorexia relapse".

I share this belief. There have always been nightmare people but there are definitely more now. Social media creates a feedback loop that amplifies the tendencies whereas before society largely beat it out of people. Attention as currency is a good way of putting it. It literally trains them to behave poorly.I am still under the belief that social media and growing up in a society where attention is currency is creating a new BPD-like disorder in a susceptible population
It's a very good question, it also begs the question what could possible be so worse about "crashing" than the current situation? Being conscious but not able to move, talk or apparently even think too hard. Surely anything that could be described as "crashing" is better than being completely catatonic? What does "crashing" even mean, practically, in this context? Fainting? 'Tism meltdown? Feeling generally uncomfortable and/or overwhelmed and/or tired? Seizing and dying? I don't know if this woman has specified the meaning before, but this sort of language is always an interesting flag. It's medical-drama enough to garner sympathy while being unspecific enough to avoid criticism. Although I know that it's a word normal people use to discuss being tired after a long day, in this context specifically "crashing" stinks of television, like, get the crash cart doctor!
I feel the same way about OCD being induced by social media spirals. Covid lockdown was the perfect environment for susceptible people to develop an irrational catastrophic contamination fear and even more irrational rituals to ward it off. The doom spiral of 24 hour news broadcasts and social media feeding them statistics fueled it along with total removal of their usual routines. You couldn't get away from it because it interrupted every single facet of most people's lives so it was all anyone talked about. I knew more than one person who wore disposable Iso suits when they had to leave the house so they could throw them out before walking in the door. Unsurprisingly those people are still walking around the grocery store in masks, know what variants are circulating, and can't be friends with the unvaccinated.I share this belief. It definitely is training them with more effective excuses and language to use to manipulate others.I am still under the belief that social media and growing up in a society where attention is currency is creating a new BPD-like disorder in a susceptible population that would be cured if they got off the Internet and into gainful employment.
This is interesting. I know a few psychs through work, most go private stuff in the side and this tallies with what they say. An increase in specific, externally induced manifestations of OCD.OCD being induced by social media spirals
Except for all those little boys priests like to fuck. When that was church picnics and ‘repressive stereotypes’ society worked a lot better.
