That depends on the caliber. Certain squad automatic weapons could probably serve uses in some crimes, even if the roles are rather limited (e.g. gang warfare, maybe firing from a getaway car or in mass shootings in more open spaces).

Well sure. But if you compare how cumbersome a machine gun is in terms of weight and mobility, regular handguns are far more dangerous and more likely to be used in crime.

Submachineguns aren’t that different. Take a submachine gun and compare it with a handgun or a semi automatic rifle, and you’re more likely to hit the target with a weapon that’s not fully automatic.

SMGs may be great for clearing rooms and are awesome in video games, but unless you’re trained in using it, you’re more likely to make a bunch of holes in the wall. And get shot while trying to reload.

That said apparently Kamala's campaign has been being advised by Kier's. Which is hilarious given Labour basically defaulted into power and were not the incumbents.
