Not sure what your definition of mass produced is, but I think John Deere and Caterpillar alone having almost 22% of the global heavy construction machinery market suggests mass-production's hollowing out has been just a little exaggerrated

People line up for HOURS to get to a Trump rally, and there's a huge overflow crowd outside every indoor location. Trump rallies have bigger audiences than many big name rock concerts.

I went to a Trump rally a few days before the 2016 election and Trump showed up three hours late because it was his third stop that day. People were cheering and dancing to the pumped in music for hours. No one left.

Scott called Ronna and messaged everyday for a year after the 2022 midterms and she ignored him. He offered her assistance after the 2020 election and she ignored him then too. Next one that needs to go to is McConnell.
