The Cole Smithey Thread

That's clearly not his home address, he lives above Carnegie Hall and constantly throws money into his fireplace.

(But the location is indeed in NYC's Carnegie Hill neighborhood, confirming the origin of that notion.)
If you look at it on google street view, there do seem to be window ac Units protruding from that building. Also regular apartments in the building on those real estate apps.

so is he renting an office for his internet critic business or something?

Cole might have doxxed his own address.

thats his company he uses for his critic review, smart new media inc.

this company lookup tool uses has the same address.
Just type in New Smart Media inc.
Whitepages has this:

Usually if a building is just a bunch of rentals for businesses you get a bunch of businesses for it by omitting the apartment number.

If Cole is any indicator of Barb's parenting regardless of Chris' autism I'm going to say she might not have been that great
I think it's the general consensus that both the Chandlers were too incompetent to parent a pet rock. Individually, they each have a long history of neglect, abandonment, and emotional abuse with all of their kids. There's probably no end to the nature vs. nurture debate when it comes to Chris, but being raised in that environment wouldn't have done any kid favors.

Didn't none of Bob's other children even attend his funeral? I thought I read that somewhere...

They didn't, and Cole in particular mentioned that he wanted Chris to tell him when Bob died so that he could celebrate. How serious he was, I'm not sure, but he asked to be told more than once. I'm guessing he cracked a bottle of whiskey when he found out.

Yep, and in the "Savannah" FB messages it was heavily implied that he never met her in person. Bob and Chris went to meet them once and brought gifts but they weren't home, so they just left them with the neighbors. For some reason they didn't figure to check when they'd be home first, which implies that they weren't on good terms and didn't want to see Bob's new family

Couple that with Harriet and Uncle Tom not tell them where they lived, makes me think it was a general dislike of the Chandlers, verses some fear of Barb immediately dry humping Tom's leg.

Auntie Harry, Unckie Tom, could your dear, sweet niece have somewhere to crash for a few days till things blow over?

Of course Chris! As long as Barbara isn't with you.

Yeah about that...

What?

Nothin. Text me your address and I'll bring some fruit salad. Ribs and potato salad on you.

That is not true. David, the son from Bob's other marriage, did attend the funeral per the conversation Chris had with the troll pretending to be David's daughter Savannah. While it has never been confirmed that Bob's daughter from his first marriage named Carol didn't attend his funeral, it has largely been inferred given Chris's lack of information about her. He has never told any stories about interacting with her the way he has with David or even providing any information about who she is outside of her name along with some vague info about her having worked for the federal government.

People have often read into that as evidence that she likely had no contact with Bob as the years went on.

I believe that on the Chandler side, the family disapproved of Bob marrying Barb. That was where the animosity started. Shacking up with some post-40 whore and having a son with her isn’t a good look. Especially when the whore is Barbarachu and the son is Chris Chan.

On the Weston side, Barbara is disliked for being a whore who lied to her son about the identity of his own father.

Cole hates Bob because he’s a racist stepdad. He was ready to dip out and get away from Snorlax when the relationship was starting but it was still not good.

I’m so happy that the Cole Smithey thread is still active.

I never saw why everyone always says this. He was no more racist than the average man of his generation and the "worst" he ever said was a few dad jokes like about Obama painting the White House black. And the burning crosses comment which could just mean he once saw a Klan gathering, not even necessarily that he participated in it.

If he was constantly going around dropping N bombs I don't think Chris would have had any problem saying the word, and even when he was tricked by trolls into it, he said "niggo" instead because he was clearly uncomfortable doing a hard R.

He also even sometimes attended a Korean Christian church.

I think Cole is just a dick. He also chimped out about that magician guy. He's just an unlikeable, nasty person.

I’m not saying it. Cole did in the lettters. Cole’s CWCki page needs a disclaimer for being a potential unreliable narrator. Bob had a collection of Jazz records and once had a little Jazz radio show. I don’t think he was going to Klan rallies. But he did teach Chris to use the hard R.

David seems like a nice guy. But I find it a little appalling that Chris only learned of his half nieces existence when she was already a teenager.

I guess he learned the same time Bob did. Rather telling. But extended families can be like that sometimes you never find out things until years later. I'm glad Chris took it well, even if he was gullible enough to fall for the troll pretending to be Savannah.
