He was the co-editor with two other women on an anthology of African sci-fi stories. He’s written a couple short stories. I read one of them and it’s a pretty poor work.

The two women he worked with both had more writing credits and published stories than him so there’s a fair question about what he actually contributed to the anthology.

He seems to be a hustler and manages to skate by on other people’s generosity rather than talent. It’s laughable that he got nominated for a director-at-large position but the SFWA has imploded recently so he was there to swoop in when it was vulnerable.

They all deserve each other.

Ooga Booga is the SFWA cat ladies' "anti racist" pet project.
They've been boosting his GoFundMe scams.
They've been arranging for him to get invited to fancy events.
They've been giving him awards for "anthologies" he lazily compiled of other African authors' short stories - where he didn't put in any actual editing work, but made sure to sack in 100% the award money and name recognition.
And they voted him onto the SFWA Board of Directors.

Though the OnA forums may have helped a little with that last item. During the SFWA election, some of the pests were pretending to campaign for Ooga's competing candidates with openly racist arguments, in order to reverse-psychology convince Woke SFWA members to vote for Ooga. The idea was that it would embolden him to grift even harder, and cause damage to the SFWA and hilarity for onlookers. Alas, there's no way of knowing how much influence this little OnA gay op had, but Ooga did get elected.

The self iding meth using Patrick and Jackie poster instead decides that being a badger is anti Rick. No evidence the memecoin has interacted with his friend Patrick so I guess NOT interacting with The Fatprick is also mean.
