Let's take stock.
Sierra didn't know this girl personally. The girl's mother did. The girl's mother is shrieking at Sierra in a private message.
What damage does that do to Sierra? Just hurts her feelings?
What does anyone gain from Sierra shitting on this girl's mother publicly?
I mean, hell, let's say Sierra made this the focal point of some campaign to get troon surgeries banned. That'd be ghoulish. It reminds me of parents of school shootings getting roped into doing cringy PSAs promoting gun grabbing.
But you can at least make a cost/benefit analysis for an action like that.
Sierra isn't posting something like "*dm screenshots* AND THESE PARENTS ARE WHY SENATOR SO AND SO NEEDS TO HELP BAN THESE PROCEDURES" or anything like that.
All she's doing is saying "fuck this girl's mother, look at the mean things she said to Sierra Weir!!!"
I don't know, maybe Sierra is telling herself that punishing a grieving mother for mild social media mean words constitutes activism. Maybe she figures that this screenshot will filter down into public discourse and some public servant will see a grieving mother (who admittedly shouldn't have encouraged her daughter to troon out) getting upset at a cringy autistic youtuber and see the light and crusade to ban trooning.
Because otherwise Sierra is just being an asshole and Sierra totally isn't that, right?
But unless the mother escalates it by taking her side of it public, there's no reason for Sierra to drop those messages.
The public doesn't need to see that slapfight. Sierra's not the good guy by taking some private rudeness from a grieving mother and posting it for her retarded fanbase to see. "whose side do you guys take??"

I wouldn't say the issue is Sierra talking about Griffin so much as Sierra dropping the mother's PMs to her. Maybe the mother is being unreasonable by telling Sierra off for discussing Griffin publicly. Sierra can be annoyed by that.Sierra did not contact the mother, it was the mother who contacted Sierra.
All the mother has to do is simply not look at whatever Sierra is writing
