Yeah, this game is just a complete failure. Superstar Saga is the only good game.
Like...why do the normal attacks require both bros now? I thought the normal attacks were meant to, IMO, meant to show the brothers are strong on their own rather than relying on each other for everything....oh, and give Luigi back his lightning powers. They were cool.

Will be interesting to see the reviews for M+L Brothership, especially after so long since a proper game (not counting those remakes). Given it's being made by a completely different studio and we're seeing a lot of "first game flags", I'm inclined to give them one game to work out the kinks.

Yeah, but it's hardly any excuse for them to fuck up, this badly. Also, I think that the ADHD level of humor might be here to stay

Admittedly I've only skimmed the footage since I'm that kind of autist who doesn't want spoilers for a Mario and Luigi game. What don't you think works here?
 
Enemy variety is pretty bad, early on. Writing is kind of funny, but some of it is just low-effort. As for combat, it's exactly what you've seen in the trailers with each boss having an different environmental cue to take advantage of (which is fun) but it doesn't exactly seems threatening, especially if you compare it to the rest of the series.

I bought it for my son, it is like identical to the SNES one aside from some new mechanics to make it easier. I didn't play it because I prefer to just play my SNES copy on my SNES on my CRT to a pale imitation in remake form.
 
Doesn't appears to be much of an difficulty curve. But the guy's on the second island and he's faced at least 4 different types of enemies, at this point

It's also almost like my point here is that people don't really discuss games or game-adjacent people unless there's something to complain and argue at length over most of the time.

Peach Showtime was decent at best, but nothing to wrote home about. The lack of level variety and the a total of only 35 levels is why it's forgetable. Has nothing to do with what you think it does.
