Have modded before on a redboard. At that time you started as a submod, with limited powers. If you did well you were promoted to a full mod, more powers. Made full mod, served until board died.

Have made interest known here before, wasn't selected, no big deal.

Would bring a different perspective to the job, being further along in life and with different experiences than many. Believe the present crop of mods do a fine job. Takes a lot to be disciplined here and even more to be banned. Null and the mods show a great deal of tolerance, to say the least. Far as banning, etc, goes, KF is a quantum leap better then AlternateHistory.com, where the mods and the board owner seem to get a kick out of disciplining or banning people right and left, for seemingly anything. Suggest to any new mods they show the same level of tolerance as the present bunch, but always do the right thing.

Cows accuse me of wanting to be a janny, that would mean that I would have to drop my passion of bullying degenerates and furfags.

This has always been the case, janitorial positions should be handed out like freemason rank based on merit and character, sponsored by a current janny or get invited. Worked in blue and grand lodges.

The British applicants should only be moderators of the International Lolcow forum. It will allow them to relive their glory days in a sad, pathetic mimicry.

I think you would find that if you would allow the OP of a thread to have basic moderator privileges in the thread that he created, I think a lot of your moderation issues would evaporate.

Why on Earth would you trust someone autistic enough to write a thread to manage human interactions reasonably? Besides, don’t a lot of thread creators get outed as lolcows themselves?

This is the worst way to do it. Staff doesn't use the Staff forum, and if they do it's not for socializing. All the real staff/user elbow-rubbing happens in the Spidermen thread on the secret board, tru fax

None. One of the few uses of the staff forum is asking active staff if a potential candidate is known to be cool or a problem somewhere. You either just become a jamny or not, there's one onboarding DM and some terrible training docs. I had to do a lot of experimenting to figure out the controls and still collab'd with Useful_Mistake, Absolutego & Francis York Morgan heavily for the first two months on the general UI and controls. Whomever gets picked, ask questions and be communicative.

It was great, I was able to clean up so many doubleposts and fix images BEFORE they became reports and entered the queue. I don't think anyone else was as proactive as I was, no one else has talked about it at least.

Hope we can get new mods for prospering grounds.

all mods are Proving Grounds mods, this isn't communicated clearly. Almost nobody takes an interest in that part of the site, if you think something needs to be promoted out ask the nearest janny that you think you're seen by regularly to take a look and explain why in about 2 sentences/elevator pitch. If there's a bad post or correction to be made, open a report.
