Police would would never "interrogate" someone over the phone. They will come to your house, arrest your ass and talk to you at the station. As I said in a previous post. Ekpeki has a long history of claiming things that, with even a little bit of scrutiny, are total bullshit. I mentioned him claiming that paypal was blocking his payments when in fact it was his own country's government that was blocking them. It took ten minutes of googling to figure out the truth of that story. Of course his lies and stupidity regarding the work visa to come to the US has been well documented here and elsewhere.
None of the people who supported him did even the slightest due diligence about any of his claims.
The thing about Jason Sandford is that he presents himself as an investigative journalist. He made his name by lurking on a right-leaning publisher's message board for months and cherry-picking posts that kinda-sorta could be interpreted as advocating political violence. Then he wrote an expose about this board being a hotbed of violent rhetoric. This resulted in the company's editor being disinvited from conventions, even though she had absolutely nothing to do with the message board. But Sandford couldn't be bothered to "investigate" any of Ekpeki's claims or look into who had stolen Cairns's story or, for that matter, Rick constantly advocating political violence.
