Why Megyn Says Donald Trump Was Not Well-Served by His Team’s Decision to Make MSG Rally So ‘Brotastic

It was quite a weekend for Donald Trump. He was on with the top podcaster in the country, Joe Rogan, in an episode that dropped on Friday. It has over 30 million views already on YouTube, which is amazing. For reference, the Call Her Daddy podcast numbers with Kamala Harris got about 600,000 to the 30 million Trump has on Rogan. Think about that.

And then there was the massive New York City rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. I watched all of Trump’s remarks from start to finish, and he did a great job. He made great points. He started with exactly the right question: “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” And he went on from there.

He was on message, he was entertaining, and he nailed it. But Trump was not well served by those around him last night. It wasn’t a Nazi rally like the corporate media wants you to believe. But even as someone who voted for Donald Trump last week, it was too brotastic.

The Woman Problem

You are trying to win an election in which you are hemorrhaging female voters. So maybe when you present in front of thousands at Madison Square Garden and however many more watching at home, you clean up the bro talk just a little so you don’t alienate women in the middle of America who are already on the fence about Republicans?

Do they have no women advising their campaign? Is there no woman sitting behind the scenes coming up with a guest lineup and saying: ‘Let’s just have a word with the guys who are going to be speaking about how this isn’t the bar. This isn’t their living room. This is a campaign. This is politics. We are trying to get him elected. Even if we do want to rally the base or guys, to go full off-color insults to different racial groups is not it’?

Trust me, nothing that was said offended me. I am almost un-offendable, but I understand how this plays – especially with women – and it was an effed up choice. They took what was an amazing celebration of Trump that was well-attended and hugely enthusiastic and gave themselves a big black eye.

This isn’t about the insane media which did, of course, what the insane media is going to do. This is about them giving the insane media all these headlines that undermined the main man, Donald Trump, who did exactly what it should have last night.

The ‘Brotastic’ Lineup

Here is what bothered me about it. I have nothing against comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. Comedy is meant to be irreverent. It is meant to kind of cause you to recoil at times. I get all that. But it is about the time, place, and manner.

This was a political event. It was not the Comedy Cellar where you should let her rip and it is fun to offend people. In this context, you want to try to keep it classy because, if you don’t, you are giving the other side a beautiful, big Christmas gift with a big red bow on it.

But it was not just the multiple off-color jokes from the comedian, some of which are being taken out of context. It was the very heavily brotastic lineup. We heard from a lot of guys who are on Team MAGA and were like, ‘Yeah, Kamala sucks.’

Listen, I say that. I insult Kamala Harris’ intelligence not to be mean but because it is how I really feel about her. But this was person after person after person – guy after after guy after guy (some of whom are friends of mine) – and very few women.

There were a couple, but I was left feeling like this is their club. This is the club that wants me and others to put them in the White House. Is there room for women in the club? Is there room for moderate voters in the club? What you are telegraphing with this lineup and this messaging is a little exclusionary. That is how it felt.

Unforced Error

A week before Election Day when Trump has been on a great roll, who in politics thinks it is a good idea to have the warm-up comic who is on four hours before the main event, drive the news cycle? It is not worth it. That is not the forum in which you should take any risks like that.

I know others disagree with me. I saw women all over the audience loving it. But I think it was an unforced error, and I hope they will do better in the closing week of the campaign.

If Trump manages to lock in 270, I think we might actually see the end of Trudeau leading Canada. The current rumblings in America are currently spilling over and there's a secret ballot planned to see if Trudeau will lead the party going forward. If they turns into an outright Trump victory, the energy might motivate Canada to actual ditch the fucking hobbit.

In a fair an level world next Tuesday would be defeat for the democrats of biblical proportions...the problem is this is not a fair and level world.

People tend to forget that it doesn't matter how good or bad the candidate actually is for either party, they're always going to get 40% of the vote. In 2008 even after people were completely sick of Bush and the wars in the Middle East, the economic took a giant shit which was pinned on the Republicans, and there was a historic record for Democrat turn out to elect the first black President, Obama still only had +7 in the popular vote.

Even in Mondale's historically bad loss in '84, the Democrats still had above 40% of the vote. Even if a little demon tore open the disgusting skin folds on Kamala's neck and crawled out of her body, 40% of the population is still voting blue no matter who. Republicans aren't nearly that bad, but they've got their own contingent that's much the same and will pull the lever for whatever shithead their party nominated just because they hate the other side more.

The amount of money that campaign has is disgusting

So much of it is being pissed away though. Top people with the campaign have numbers that everyone else doesn't, and even if the mainstream media is trying to make the race appear close than it is, the people running the campaign can see the writing on the wall. It's a message that says, "Funnel as much of this money to your friends or family as you possible can before the tap gets shut off." I guarantee you that millions of dollars have been spent on developing commercials or other campaign activities that only cost a tiny fraction of what was billed.

Ricky Martin is a literal fag with two famous songs from 1999. This isn't going to swing many Puerto Rican votes to Kamala.

He could perform at one of Kamala's rallies though.

♬ She bangs, she bangs
♬ Oh baby
♬ She blows, she blows
♬ It's crazy
♬ Whether it's on her back,
♬ Or down on her knees,
♬ She's the biggest whore in history!

He voted Maga out of Spite

You know that he voted for Trump because he did it in person. If he wanted to vote Harris he would have gotten a mail in ballot that they could have filled out for him like all of the other dementia patients in nursing homes across the country.

I'll bet that Jill got a mail-in ballot though just so she could bubble in the Trump circle and wave it in the faces of all of the Kamala staffers.

Rate my post with "agree" if you want this to be enacted, and "disagree" if this should not be enacted. I'll check the result in 24 hours.
I agree with a caveat: If someone is just posting a link because they are unable to archive due to device or other extenuating circumstances and they say as much some leeway should be given unless they abuse that accommodation.

Leading Report is often full of shit but this would be an interesting development. Maybe he got too much backlash from his anti-trump comments?

Here's hoping. I'll thank Mitch the Bitch for his original contributions to conservative values and voting for SC justices, but he's become a globalist asshole in the last decade, and needs to go.

Plus the Red Dragon probably killed his sister in law, but he supports them over Americans anyways.

TL;DR = Trump had a rally, Women most effected.

Apparently Trump is supposed to get more women on his side since they are all for Kamala and it's important or something.

Does this lady realize there has been a gigantic wedge between the two sexes since 2010 and it's going to take more than Donald Trump to fix that?

Yeah, I mean, if Archive.ph and it's derivatives aren't working, then they aren't working. That site seems to be less and less stable each day. Ghostarchive.org is an alt, but it's not as good as it was a year or so ago. My new favorite is megalodon.jp

Opinion | The hard truth: Americans don’t trust the news media - Washington Post/Jeff Bezos

In the annual public surveys about trust and reputation, journalists and the media have regularly fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress. But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working.

Let me give an analogy. Voting machines must meet two requirements. They must count the vote accurately, and people must believe they count the vote accurately. The second requirement is distinct from and just as important as the first.
Likewise with newspapers. We must be accurate, and we must be believed to be accurate. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but we are failing on the second requirement. Most people believe the media is biased. Anyone who doesn’t see this is paying scant attention to reality, and those who fight reality lose. Reality is an undefeated champion. It would be easy to blame others for our long and continuing fall in credibility (and, therefore, decline in impact), but a victim mentality will not help. Complaining is not a strategy. We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility.
Presidential endorsements do nothing to tip the scales of an election. No undecided voters in Pennsylvania are going to say, “I’m going with Newspaper A’s endorsement.” None. What presidential endorsements actually do is create a perception of bias. A perception of non-independence. Ending them is a principled decision, and it’s the right one. Eugene Meyer, publisher of The Washington Post from 1933 to 1946, thought the same, and he was right. By itself, declining to endorse presidential candidates is not enough to move us very far up the trust scale, but it’s a meaningful step in the right direction. I wish we had made the change earlier than we did, in a moment further from the election and the emotions around it. That was inadequate planning, and not some intentional strategy.
I would also like to be clear that no quid pro quo of any kind is at work here. Neither campaign nor candidate was consulted or informed at any level or in any way about this decision. It was made entirely internally. Dave Limp, the chief executive of one of my companies, Blue Origin, met with former president Donald Trump on the day of our announcement. I sighed when I found out, because I knew it would provide ammunition to those who would like to frame this as anything other than a principled decision. But the fact is, I didn’t know about the meeting beforehand. Even Limp didn’t know about it in advance; the meeting was scheduled quickly that morning. There is no connection between it and our decision on presidential endorsements, and any suggestion otherwise is false.
When it comes to the appearance of conflict, I am not an ideal owner of The Post. Every day, somewhere, some Amazon executive or Blue Origin executive or someone from the other philanthropies and companies I own or invest in is meeting with government officials. I once wrote that The Post is a “complexifier” for me. It is, but it turns out I’m also a complexifier for The Post.

You can see my wealth and business interests as a bulwark against intimidation, or you can see them as a web of conflicting interests. Only my own principles can tip the balance from one to the other. I assure you that my views here are, in fact, principled, and I believe my track record as owner of The Post since 2013 backs this up. You are of course free to make your own determination, but I challenge you to find one instance in those 11 years where I have prevailed upon anyone at The Post in favor of my own interests. It hasn’t happened.
Lack of credibility isn’t unique to The Post. Our brethren newspapers have the same issue. And it’s a problem not only for media, but also for the nation. Many people are turning to off-the-cuff podcasts, inaccurate social media posts and other unverified news sources, which can quickly spread misinformation and deepen divisions. The Washington Post and the New York Times win prizes, but increasingly we talk only to a certain elite. More and more, we talk to ourselves. (It wasn’t always this way — in the 1990s we achieved 80 percent household penetration in the D.C. metro area.)
While I do not and will not push my personal interest, I will also not allow this paper to stay on autopilot and fade into irrelevance — overtaken by unresearched podcasts and social media barbs — not without a fight. It’s too important. The stakes are too high. Now more than ever the world needs a credible, trusted, independent voice, and where better for that voice to originate than the capital city of the most important country in the world? To win this fight, we will have to exercise new muscles. Some changes will be a return to the past, and some will be new inventions. Criticism will be part and parcel of anything new, of course. This is the way of the world. None of this will be easy, but it will be worth it. I am so grateful to be part of this endeavor. Many of the finest journalists you’ll find anywhere work at The Washington Post, and they work painstakingly every day to get to the truth. They deserve to be believed.

Frankly all those archives are more likely to vanish than Josh's own backups in the end. To me it's kind of useless besides getting around paywalls and ads.

Well, yes, Canadians are begging for early elections but every single fucking party except Conservative don't have the balls because it would be a Conservative majority without a doubt.

She's doing the same shit half this thread did and freaking out that Trump might have made an oopsie, but like the other thread members, I think she's wrong.
It's the concern about the remarks made by one of the speakers and something about there not being enough women in the speaker lineup.

She's always been trash ever since she apologized for telling the truth about Halloween costumes.

I voted RFK Jr because he's still on the ballot in my state. Fuck both parties.
If you're going to throw your vote away anyway then why even bother voting at all, just to behave like a petulant child? Even if both parties suck that's the reality of the two-party system, and you know damn well Democrats are significantly worse.
