The GOP is outright leading the early vote in Nevada in a massive swing from how both 2020 and 2022, where they were behind significantly both times. There is plenty of reason to be optimistic about the Silver State.

Michigan is very odd according to my brother. Outside of old women who dye their hair badly and the occasional Union worker who votes with their Union. He’s not really met anyone who is voting for her other than those groups. Black women are, but it’s not enthusiastic. It’s very much sluggish. Chaldeans, Muslim, Jews, and Catholics in South Eastern Michigan basically are for Trump. A lot of blacks have turned out for him in the state.

It looks like he might have more support in key areas to actually matter in Michigan even with the “fix”.

That, and the significance of the gaffe is seriously overstated. It wasn't Trump, Vance, or anyone who would even potentially be in his cabinet. It was a comedian guest speaker. If Trump himself had said it he could have been in a world of political hurt, but this is at best a few days of negative headlines, and even that I'm not seeing much of. It's not even bad enough to set off squishier conservative commentators like Ben Shapiro, which is my general litmus test to see if a negative story is going to get any real traction. So I don't think it's really going to move the needle all that much.

I sincerely hope you're right and I'm just being pessimistic. There is too much riding on this election for me to be right.

If our only plan is being "too big to rig," we are fucked. PA, MI, GA, and NV are now fixed. Maybe also NC thanks to Helene. The only swing states I can realistically see Trump winning even with fortification is WI and maybe AZ.

Trump has been consistently polling at 1% or above in GA, NC, and AZ. If he wins those states + a single rust belt state, he reaches 270 votes and wins outright. NV is unlikely to come into play unless Trump fails to win one of those 3 states.

538 lists both Georgia and Arizona as +2% for Trump (270 to win has him at +0.9% and +1.7% respectively). North Carolina is about +1% . Interestingly, Georgia + North Carolina + Pennsylvania are by themselves enough to bump him to 270 outright.
