Continuing my post on Zane's John Waters video, which I'm playing while being sick on my day off.

He doesn't say much about Polyester, Cry-Baby or Serial Mom. Polyester basically has more time dedicated to Odorama than the movie itself. Despite the many political sperging tangents he gets into he doesn't say much about Cry-Baby outside of it being a wasted opportunity. Serial Mom is his favourite Waters flick but that's pretty much it.

This video as a whole is not Quinton levels of padding but still made me want to just pirate Waters books or re-read A Confederacy of Dunces instead. A non-insignificant part of the runtime is quotes straight from Waters but Zane still adores to put words into the Pope of Trash's mouth. Here are some examples.

As a transitional segment before talking about Hairspray, Zane talks about Carsick, the book Waters made about hitchhiking from Baltimore to San Fran (roughly 3 hours, 38 minutes) in which most of the trek is made in the company of a small town, conservative politician who aided Waters after seeing him under heavy rain. Both ended up striking a friendship and Waters talked positively off the guy, yet Zane credits Waters' propensity for being agreeable rather than accept people can disagree politically and still be friends. This part came after equating right wingers and bad people.

On Divine's passing (roughly 3 hours, 51 minutes) a pastor was tasked with delivering an eulogy that Zane saw as homophobic since said pastor said that Divine was coming to terms with being his 'real self' (for context, this is the stage of Divine's career when he/she/pronouns changed started to present masculine after years of dressing like a man in private and had already expressed frustration with only being cast for female roles). While it would be naive to believe a presumably Catholic priest in the 80s would be ecstatic about giving service for a drag queen, the eulogy itself isn't offensive or dismissive and is yet another example of Zane being a nancy.

There's this slightly amusing part (roughly 4 hours, 51 minutes) while talking about the cult in Cecil B. Demented where after once again inserting current year ideas on Waters' philosophy, Zane is perplexed that the stand-in for the SLA that is supposed to be their exact opposite composed of a ragtag film crew has a rule forbidding sex until they finish the movie. Makes you wonder not only of he really watched the movie but if he has ever been forced to motivate a large group of people to do anything. Zane also talks about how this is the first time that Waters had a conventionally attractive male cast compared to how Waters always picked 'beautiful, stunning' women.

In the end Zane talks about Liarmouth, a Waters book that may or may not become his return as a director, that truly helps his inner optimist shine as he talks about The People's Joker as a nice example of a movie without a big budget that managed to become culturally relevant and that the John Waters exhibition organized by the Academy serves to evidence Waters can make a Lynch or Burton style comeback. As nice as that would be, you may make the case that and Waters' movies post-Serial Mom serve to prove why he hasn't made it.

tl;dw he took 49 minutes to say he can't handle making mini-videos and livestreams about the daily wire anymore cause Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles and Classically Abby are "the worst people on the planet" because it's ruining his "mental health" having to watch them. He spent a lot of time complaining about money. His conclusion was that he'll still make "Atheist-ish and Politic-ish content" but he wants to focus on releasing a single one hour video per month trying to give a more elaborate take on various leftist topics like complaining about healthcare and redlining.

Imogine moy shawk, that people like him have mental illness. And how is watching content from Daily Wire making him have "worse mental illness" I'll never understand. Maybe he's getting jewed on by kosher politics or something. I wish I could understand these peoples' mindset - but they truly live on a different dimension.

This is so sad, what is it with commies and claiming that normie/neo-cons are the worstestestest people even when they are clearly not, look hate DW all you want but you have to admit there are worse people in politics right now.

The only answer I can come up with is that DW has a little bit of power and influence.

At best, if Trump wins, it'll just be him half-assing the shit he promised while getting in bed with the radical Evangelicals who worship him like a demigod. I highly doubt he has concentration camps ready for the college SJWs who actually hate his guts. Worst comes to worst, the gamers and porn addicts will suffer more from his Second Coming, since the radical evangelicals whispering in his ear want to curtail violent video games and criminalize porn; they have no real plans to toss SJWs into the fucking gulags. If anything, the radical left and the radical right actually agree on a lot of things, such as toning down the ''objectification of women'', seeing nerds such as gamers as good-for-nothing shits, wanting a centralized government to get things done, and even when it comes to the military-industrial complex, they agree that it should get more funding, because the Left wants more military aid for Ukraine to curtail Russian expansion, while the Right wants to pick a fight with China. So they'll both be in the pocket of companies like Lockheed Martin.

Also, these far-left Breadtubers and other online feminists/SJWs forget the fact that Trump's rise was as much their fault as it was his. The fact that the Left went so radical in the tail end of the Obama years led to Hillary Clinton losing when she should've won 2016 decisively since most people from 2008-2012 were accepting of Obama. Hillary Clinton lost, because of how radical the Left became, that an unknown like Trump became attractive to enough people who voted against the Left. If the Left maintained their stance of just being the Social Democrat version of the Neocons, they might've kept their reigns on power and maintained an unbroken chain of Democrat presidents from Obama to now.

They're not lying when they say that the match that lit the Trump fire was Gamergate. That whole underground subculture of shitting on the Left that became vogue after Gamergate broke out was a key factor in Trump's victory in 2016, especially since the SJWs couldn't stop creaming themselves over Hillary, and people hated SJWs back then more than they do now.
