I switched off the browser years ago but I still see a lot of people using it. Chrome isn't the default on Windows so that means normies go out of their way to download a browser that is bloated, insecure spyware.
It also makes me wonder how many of Big Tech's monopolies would collapse if a simple majority of people decided to switch to privacy-focused/open-source alternatives. I don't expect everyone to run Linux since that requires some technical know-how, but anybody can use stuff like Librewolf or Brave.
Edit: to clarify, I am not referring to Chromium-based browsers. I am specifically referring to Google Chrome the browser.
