Why do normalfags still use Google Chrome?

I switched off the browser years ago but I still see a lot of people using it. Chrome isn't the default on Windows so that means normies go out of their way to download a browser that is bloated, insecure spyware.

It also makes me wonder how many of Big Tech's monopolies would collapse if a simple majority of people decided to switch to privacy-focused/open-source alternatives. I don't expect everyone to run Linux since that requires some technical know-how, but anybody can use stuff like Librewolf or Brave.

Edit: to clarify, I am not referring to Chromium-based browsers. I am specifically referring to Google Chrome the browser.

Firefox constantly doesn't function correctly and has a lot of missing features like HDR, it simply isn't supported like Chromium based browsers are

It's based on Chromium. I am referring to the Chrome browser specifically. (Sorry if I didn't make that clear)

I use LibreWolf, but I am planning on migrating to Mullvad Browser. The reason I ask is because I am taking a class that is discussing privacy. It's a general education course, so none of the class, including the professor, are techies. Everyone brings their laptop to class, so I can see what browsers they are running. I listen to people bitch about how there is so little privacy in today's world despite not taking basic steps that are completely within their power.

Well for 1.

A lot of people have been using chrome all their life so switching will be uncomfortable for them.

And most normalfags only know about Firefox, Opera GX, Edge, Brave. And to them it might just look like chrome reskins so what is the point of switching in their eyes.

And they also think chrome is the fastest browser in the world in which everybody likes a really fast browser so in their eyes why would they switch to something that is not gonna be fast as chrome (even though chrome is not the fastest and that title goes to thorium)

Those are the reasons why I believe a lot of normalfags still use chrome but I believe that will slowly change once they start removing ad-blockers completely.

From a normie perspective, there is no reason use anything besides Chrome or Edge, it's all about familiarity. All these niggers don't give a fuck about technology, privacy or "entrapping themselves in a walled garden". Cheap laptop manufacturing and the availability of smartphones is a tragedy.

Any non-technical x86 user with some common sense would have jumped on Brave at this point. Brave is about as far as you can go with "alternative" browsing unless you want to tinkertroon your way around compatibility issues or significant performance drops.
You can install noscript, ublock, umatrix and adguard from the brave config menu with ONE button, is that fucking simple.
Me? I use every browser that I find useful, except this one: surf web browser WebKit2/GTK+ (Suckless) I am not worthy.
