I dunno, doing a doc with some milquetoast Marketing dingus like Mike Clum seems more conservative than diving head first into the "shark pool" with Kino Casino and possibly Metokur (DSP wanted to but Jim said he was too sick), but DSP oddly skipped right over it.

While I agree with you about the state of the condo, I don't think it had anything to do with Clum. Clum committed two cardinal sins in Phil's mind. The first was not kissing Phil's ass enough, the second was communicating with detractors. Phil is too stupid to realize when KC crew is mocking him and took the ass kissing as genuine, but if they ever had like, Doody or someone on and gave him a fair shake, or even just started reading from his thread here, that would be the end of their relationship.

The reason I don't think the state of Phil's condo played a role is because of Phil's hermit status. He's so isolated from what is normal, I'm not sure he realizes how bad his condo is. What does he have to compare it to? The last time he spent time in someone else's home was probably his CT trip. I think Phil is still genuinely proud of his condo because he always talks about it like it's a unique thing and can't fathom the fact that the majority of detractors, and hell, even some of his dents are all homeowners as well. He does the same thing with his marriage, talking like nobody else could possibly fathom what it's like to have a wife.

Just to throw a wrench in this theory, but DSP did say last week that him and Khet watch HGTV a LOT. So I guess it would be those shitty home improvement shows where they show houses is shit status like DSPs then show it fixed witha. Price tag on the fix (which may be where he gets those 50k thoughts from)

IIRC Phil also said they did a lot of cleaning before he was there, so I suspect they did the kid thing of shoving all the stuff they don't want seen in an unused office to make it appear nice, when we know Phil's office is shit, and anywhere where he spends a lot of time is shit. Not to mention broken-ish items.

While I don't think it's likely, another possibility I haven't seen anyone consider is that Phil has fallen for one of those suicidally stupid "sell me your house and I rent it back to you" rackets. Minor-est of power levels: As a homeowner I regularly get mail from totally legitimate businesspeople offering to buy my house with the guarantee that they'll then graciously permit me (ree!) to rent it from them. What a deal! So you pay me a cash offer that's far below my home's market value, you get all the rights of ownership and all the equity, and I get to pay you to continue living in the house I used to own? Just give me a few sharp blows to the cranium and I'll think this is a chad move.

As I said, I give Phil enough credit (okay I just lost half the thread, didn't I) that he wouldn't fall for so transparent a scam legitimate business deal. But then, if you're bankrupt and living in a decaying mansion of gout and you have no impulse control when somebody's offering money NOW instead of later...

It's possible that's where the sudden interest in actually doing something to improve his home that doesn't involve velcro or struggling to put up foam bricks. But I think my theory still holds some weight because Phil is completely oblivious to his life. Think about his recent attempts to get into drama where he's criticizing Rich or Boogie, and he's unironically giving them criticism that 100% describe his life to a (RIP) T. I'm sure when he's watching those shows, he's somehow smugly thinking he's better because at least his house has one working bathroom, or how he's willing to buy new curtains (that he can't figure out) or those schmucks have an overflowing sink full of dishes while Phil is 300 IQ and has a totally clean sink...because he only uses paper plates/takeaway containers for every meal.

Fun stats...

Phil has approximately 2300 followers on Kick, and over 900 subscribers. Almost 40% of his followers are subscribers, a large chunk of that being trolls.

His streams get less than 2% of his followers and less than 5% of his subscribers.

Of the 900 subscribers, between 50-60 are actually paid. Meaning in 2 weeks we will get board room style meetings when at least 250 of those disappear (first week of gifting).

And he was legit propped up by 1 person tonight, and is proud of it. We're crashing out.

BTW, the misconceptions he's referring to are his playing WWE Champions while crying poverty and going through bankruptcy. At most, some people shrugged and said "Yeah, we already know" regarding his retconned WWE Champions confession, which is nowhere near the realm of offering forgiveness.
Also, if they are misconceptions, why would they need to be forgiven? People forgetting a misconception about you isn't really a positive, either. Wouldn't the real positive move be clearing up a negative misconception that people have about you?

With how cooked DSP's brain is, I wonder how much longer into this Midlife Crisis Arc before Mr. Darksyde sculpts an oversized poker chip out of Crayola Model Magic Clay, attaches it to some string, and starts wearing it as a necklace.

I've got money on the mysterious appointment being Kat having medical issues. When he first mentioned the day he was going to miss, he almost sounded like he was repeating something somebody else said, which made me think Kat told him over and over that he *can't* tell his stream that she's going to the doctor for some embarrassing obesity related illness.

He didn't even really apologize. If he did somehow apologize in his verbose word salad ramblings, they weren't ever directed towards his audience, the people he lied for years to for money.

I don’t think he’s quite ready to cross that bridge. Since he's familiar with Twitch, he might consider it a backup if he gets booted off YouTube and Kick. Only if he ends up permanently banned or if the platform truly collapses will he, in my view, start seriously criticizing it., which I hope happens soon, all this drama with E-girls streaming on two cameras and the recent 'Arabian Nights' controversies would be golden if they killed the platform, but I'm 10% too optimistic and 9% copeing so let's just see.
