Our water and electricity? We are a net exporter of energy and our water doesn't come from goddamn China, what are these defense contractor lobbyists claiming?
The idea of water and electricity shortages via trade is laughable especially when you consider how much China themselves imports water from the US. That being said you could see issues given the ever increasing use of PLCs in basically every facility that involves heavy machinery tightly integrated into one giant system. The more relations sour, the more these systems will be attacked.

I had a weird issue recently where a form on a website was attacked in the most pointless way imaginable ever since I've wondered if Chinese bots roam the Internet becoming digital nuisances as a way to fuck with westerners.

The Harris campaign saying that Trump stands for "grievances and retribution" as if it's a bad thing totally showcases how she views the American people, and how much she hates all of us (even her own voters).

The American people are not allowed to complain when the government fucks our lives over, according to her. That's just "bad vibes," mkay? We're all supposed to smile and take it up the rear.

God, it can't be overstated enough: I hate Democrats.

Maybe some writers and actors who are entirely reliant upon the Hollywood machine, but stand-up comics do not give a shit. There was a deliberate attempt to push this globohomo nonsense into stand-up via Hannah Gadsby, but it failed because stand-ups realize that this shit is the death of their business. Notice how not even Dave Chappelle goes around tone policing other stand-up comedians.

Dave Chappelle is friends with Nick Di Paolo, who is an uber mega Republican - always has been - and loves Trump.
The comedian's name escapes me at the moment (and I'm too lazy to check right now lol), but one of the comedians that interviewed Trump recently ... He's openly stated that he's been dropped from quite a few gigs since that podcast.

Shane Gillis got canceled for a long while there when he got shit-canned from SNL, too. Granted, he's made quite the comeback, but it took him years to do it.

And not enough comedians came to bat for Roseanne. A lot did (including Hinchcliffe, who has had a long standing record of supporting fellow comedians when bullshit happens to them), but she's basically been permanently shut out from the "in" crowd since becoming an outspoken Trump supporter, and she probably won't see success like she used to again.

There's still a lot of nonsense and cancel culture that happens within the comedy world, unfortunately.

The power grid is not hardened at all, not against EMP or sabatoge against lone wolf attacks. A guy with a rifle takes out a substation, there goes power for a city. Also water treatment facilities are equally vunerable. Take control of those and the population loses fresh water.
This is the main reason that really defeats the rise of right wing terrorism gaslighting for me. Cities are mostly democrat and everyone knows about how unsecured these facilities are. If there were really a massive rise in right wing terrorism, every coastal city would never have power for more than a few days at a time. In addition, it's astounding that people are told that America is full of dangerous racists when the power and water stays on in minority heavy neighborhoods.

Another carrington event is likely to occur at some point and would be much worse then a mere EMP.

With an EMP attack communications and semblance of civilization can be restored and maintained quickly. In the event of a giant solar storm you would not be able to use generators or even begin to repair the grid.

It isn't the loss of power that would get to people it's the inability to communicate beyond your local sphere combined with no night time that would.

I remember on election night in 2020 trump was ahead and the win was clear. I was shocked to see that Biden had suddenly had massive gains overnight. Sure is suspicious.
Fewer mail-in votes means less dragged out counting and mail in is down quite a bit. Chances are we'll have a much better idea, if not outright know, who the next president is by end of election night.

The Democrats really don't have anything for an October Surprise (which is, ironically, unsurprising given how incompetent the Harris campaign is) and are trying to manufacture one.
They've gone through like half a dozen things in the last week to try and be an Oct. Surprise. Not limited to: The hitler comments from some Chief of Staff book in 2022, the resurgence of that assault claim from 2016, the rumor Trump assaulted a minor on camera at a political event, this.

They're throwing everything in front of the Trump train to try and derail it from reaching DC. None of its working.

I also think that it's a good thing that so many people have come out to vote early.

Getting so many of the ballots early makes manifesting ballots from thin air at 3am look a lot less believable. "Oh, a third of the state voted early and we already have their ballots ... Shit, we can't tell the American people that there's been a 130% voter turnout now."

Also the fact Trump realized his mistake the last time and is telling everyone vote early and mail
In your ballot. Also having Laura as the head of the RNC and not putting up with people’s bullshit anymore definitely helps.

for what it's worth my wife's NY PR, her take on it was something to the effect of "fuck that dumbshit" regarding the comedian, but no fucks given about it impacting her support for Trump
FAR more interested in Hulkamania running wild and Dark Goth MAGA
we already voted, anyways

A county GOP office in Pennsylvania just received bomb threats.
The party said a GOP staffer in Erie County received death threats from a Philadelphia man on Sept. 6.

On Oct. 10, individuals forcibly entered the Delaware County Republican headquarters and threatened to kill staff, the party said.

Also, several individuals associated with the GOP received an anonymous threatening letter on Oct. 17.
Unlike the kid-trooning hospitals or the pet-eater protectors, there will be no outrage or indignation over "extreme rhetoric" or "stochastic terrorism", because it's (D)ifferent.

Every day I wake up happy knowing my enemies are retarded

I was going to vote for the literal double hitler who said he was going to toss screaming autistic babies over the wall Mexico paid for, but after hearing a bisexual recording artist and the opener of Al Capone's vault get mad at him over a comedian making an unfunny joke about an place I know nothing about, I am voting for Ol' Oakie Harris.

How do we all feel about the cheating situation now?
We're completely and utterly doomed. That Puerto Rico joke was the final straw that broke the final nail in the fat lady singing. The act of voting only lends the system the appearance legitimacy, so the best thing to do is stay home, or if you must vote, vote for Kamala Harris, to hasten the inevitable collapse. It's best to give up now and spare yourself any disappointment later on.

This is Obama's legacy. Full stop.

Intimidation tactics like this right before AND during election day have become a regular thing since 2008. We can thank the Obama Chicago machine for that.
