National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 created the Commission on the National Defense Strategy. RAND was employed for "analytic and administrative support"

That sounds right. The RAND Corporation is often used to create white papers for the MIC. I have only skimmed the document, but it seems like authors are trying to revive the idea of SEATO (NATO, but for Asia) or integrate Asian operations into NATO as a way of deterring China.

My point is simply that the RAND Corporation puts out stuff like this all the time for the MIC. Just because Congress commissions a study and a member of Congress chairs the study does not mean that the government will necessarily adopt the suggested policies.

The power grid is not hardened at all, not against EMP or sabatoge against lone wolf attacks. A guy with a rifle takes out a substation, there goes power for a city. Also water treatment facilities are equally vunerable. Take control of those and the population loses fresh water.

I have to admit to having a growing sense of apprehension. Like many of you, I went to bed late on November 5th, 2020, sure that Trump had won, and woke the next day to the horrifying news that he hadn't. Of course, we found out that there's not much anybody can do to correct widespread cheating in an election, as we all witnessed.

I just pray that conditions and precautions prevent such a massive steal this time. I think it's time for standardized election laws for all states, and drop boxes, unrequested mail-in ballots, and ballots received post-election day should not be a part of standard elections.

It's pretty simple for me. Either the guy who almost got assassinated beats the charisma black hole candidate, or I [MESSAGE REMOVED]. There's no other alternative.

Trump is making sure that his most recently articulated grievances are dead girls and women who died on Kamala's watch needlessly, because of insane policies and a botched conclusion to a conflict.

That way, when Harris talks about how we should all just move on and move past things, she's basically saying "ignore those dead bodies I left over there in the corner, why can't we let bygones be bygones?" It's intended to make her messaging seem tone-deaf.

Congress created commission demands bypass of the public, and relays a bleak view of current capabilities of United States. It demands that US allies be "integrate[d]". It also demands unlimited money to the military and unlimited debt. Also, increased taxes.

The answer to this is to expand mining operations, set up/reopen shipyards, and open new factories. In otherwords create jobs. That is how you get growth

There's no point updating your official party affiliation if you're not voting in primaries, and if you only vote in presidential primaries, we haven't had real ones since 2016. I switched to Dem to vote for Bernie but I'm obviously not voting for Harris so I don't know how accurate it is to directly map party affiliation to vote. If you just looked at newly registered voters, then yeah, sure.

Yea I haven’t been registered to either major party for the past decade and I don’t plan on it. I also think a lot of registered Dems will wind up voting for Trump this cycle even if they still down ballot Dems.

Isn’t a good portion of the electorate registered Independent anyway?

The encouragement for early voting is good in Arizona, as with Election Day voting in 2022, Republican voters were actively disenfranchised through not being given the time to vote, despite being in line, due to a technical problem (it was all very coordinated and too convenient imo). Early voting ensures Democrats are able to have less up their sleeve here in terms of disenfranchising Republican voters.
