Hes mostly known for a game called the Man from the Window, that got pretty popular from Manlybadass hero to the point even markiplier played it and i remember the man from the window being a mascot in kids YouTube content slop for a short period of time.

Aside from all this it’s mostly inoffensive but I see it going really bad with tranny groomers. The chat is unmoderated and there’s areas you can freely draw on (this would have raid potential, if it wasn’t 5 whole dollars).

You can still see the difference, though. Webfishing is even further simplified than animal crossing's art. I'm going to compare to New Horizons which released just a couple years ago, but there's not too much differentiating it from earlier titles style wise other than having better graphics.

But to really show that the difference isn't just based on graphical fidelity, here's marketing material from the Japan exclusive Animal Forest before it got localized on Gamecube.

Now, I know you're likely familiar with the franchise already due to your earlier reply, but REALLY compare them face to face, including your screenshot.

Look at this slop after.

There's something clearly missing, actual detail in the textures rather than just flat colors. It looks like the art in Webfishing could've and might have been put together in Microsoft Paint, and the default :3 face looks clearly hand drawn and sloppy. You can feel the Twitter furfag dripping from these screenshots.

i think there is definitely a troonishness (i love inventing adjectives) to it all. this is what happens when you follow the "gamedev" "philosophy" of someone like b0tster. you ever feel like the average AAA slop has a lot of effort put in for nothing worth your time and attention? this has little effort put in for just as much if not less value within itself. that'll be $4.99 + tax + tip!
it is unashamed of what it's ripping its look off, but it's not for anything even remotely worthwhile, i doubt it could ever stand on its own without the look and shapes. it is nothing but a bunch of symbols put together in a recognizable form, you're meant to look at it and clap.

There's also no lighting on anything, so it all looks flat and everything blends together. Typically games with simplistic art styles like this will put outlines around objects or draw them with different colors so that they stand out but all of these compound each other to make everything look like a bad gmod recreation instead of an actual game.

The original PS2 Katamari Damacy, for instance did that no shading thing with the playable character models.
I can't remember the exact name of the game but there was a fighting game from back in the day that's gimmick was all the characters were crudely drawn like those faces it may or may not also be pulling from.

EDIT: Either that or it's just aping of the playstation mascot from before they killed their japan studio who had crudely drawn comedic faces in a similar manner.

there is a "ps3 look" that a lot of games had, like how they added a lot of bloom and every surface was made to be super shiny or look like plastic. It looked ugly as fuck , i really disliked how a lot of games looked in that generation but i can see some zoomers trying to ape it.
