Do any of you niggas remember fucking 9/11, or the AWB

I will agree technology was more fun and less gay then
I have the dubious distinction of being the last person to perform at the World Trade Center. My band performed in Windows on the World (The restaurant at the top of the World Trade Center) on 9/9/01. They had no band on 9/10. I know far too many people who died in it and NYC has never recovered. Ever.
Honestly, "gay" = "happy" is such antiquated lingo that I haven't heard it since The Flintstones. What's rather worse is how rainbow and pastel color schemes (particularly white/pink/blue) have been ruined by queers. While the Pride Flag has been around for a very long time, it was a niche thing that was easily ignored. Then "LBGT" became trendy and marketable around the early 2010's, getting rainbows plastered everywhere to specifically mean gay, so now they feel inseparable.

In the 90's, this would just be the Blizzard logo with a neat colorful scheme. At the time of Starcraft and Warcraft 3, I'd think that this would be neat to wear. But today, putting aside that Blizzard games are shit now, I wouldn't dare wear this shirt because I don't want to come off as gay or gay-affiliated.
The one thing that will annoy me to no end forever is how fags planted their flag on the rainbow and claimed it. As a Gen X'er I grew up in the 70s in what might be the peak of Sci-Fi. The rainbow used to be associated with optimism, futurism, positivity, science, and so many forward thinking things. Easily illustrated in tech and sci-fi; movies like Outland and Alien even have rainbows in the crew patches. Hell, the Commodore 64 had a rainbow as part of its logo on the actual computer case. Even in fiction books of the era (Thomas Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow" for example). I will forever be salty that the rainbow has been changed from optimism and technology and science fiction to blowing loads on a hairy ass.
Dragon Ball scouter
I thought it was a seatbelt also. I have no idea what a Dragon Ball scouter is but after looking up the description, it makes more sense than a seatbelt.
I believe HW Bush intentionally said Saddam Hussein's first name in a way that sounded like 'shoe shiner' to them.
Being an old motherfucker, I remember this well. Bush would pronounce it as "Sat 'em" instead of "Sa-Dahm" for that reason.
ointed and animatronic
Shamefully, Paula White is one of Trump's "spiritual advisors." Her activities include promoting prosperity gospel heresy, judaizing, and squeezing donations out of poor people to fund her lavish lifestyle. She's been married 3 times and speaks in tongues during sermon. Her false eyelashes, dermal fillers, and love of fashion make her seem like a reboot of Tammy Faye Baker, but made sleek and sinister to fit in with our frightening times.

I hope he doesn't take her too seriously.
This chick is a disaster and has a long history of fraud and investigations. She's married to John Cain, the keyboardist for Journey. She's also the reason that a lot of Journey is at odds with each other because John Cain started pushing Journey music with Trump because of her back during 2016 and apparently Neal Schon is a huge leftard and got massively salty and stared filing lawsuits against John Cain. I don't know if she possesses god pussy or something but she landed John Cain and completely reformed him and now he's a hardcore reborn Christian and even plays keys in her Church band for her megachurch. And shills whatever she's currently selling.
Don't stop being salty on it, but also know that there has been a lot more planning and training for shit going down this time. Everyone who could have done anything was caught off guard by just how blatant 2020 was. Now, if anything, they are expecting and planning for it to be worse.
Tell that to the chick who got arrested the other day in Pennsylvania for telling voters to stay in line and vote after election workers tried to dissuade people from voting. (https://x.com/luckyvalpal/status/1851060103861923986)

Mainly that there are quite a few items - both standard and luxury - that we rely on imports for this country. But again, the idea behind tariffs is to encourage domestic production while also having an avenue to raise revenue (prior to the national income tax, tariffs were the primary source of income for the Federal Government). In short, it's allowing for some short term pain to bring about long term economic health.
When pressed on this, Trump did say that there was an easy way for foreign companies to avoid paying tariffs - just build their factory here.

stead all we get is band-aid solutions like .40 S&W, body armour, and automatic pistols, instead of the holistic solution of asking policemen to spend a little more time shoo
This brings me back to the days of reading stories in the paper about police opening fire on a suspect in a parking garage and how 3 or 4 officers would fire like 150 rounds between them and hit the suspect like 3 times lol.

Serious question here, we all just write off Colorado as solid dark blue and I know for the most part that beautiful state has been destroyed, but for those that no more than me is it really permanently blue? Ive tried to get a handle on how close the split was in previous elections but its not clear. Is there any chance it could ever swing back?

I like the cope of trying to use midterms as a base. When presidential elections always have higher turnouts. Just an excerpt from wikipedo from how republicans performed on 2020 house

Nobody but the dumbest, nigger-est, braindead Democrats gives a fuck about this.

that makes sense especially from a historical perspective. particularly the income tax part.

What do you think about the idea that tariffs would encourage companies to invest domestically instead of importing?
Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, the world economy is so globalized nowadays that you can't escape an international supply chain. Even the US, which is the country most able to be as self-sufficient as possible (the US has around a 25-30% trade to GDP ratio, compared that to China at around 35%, and most European countries being around 80%, often above 100%), you still need to engage in the global economy. Some industries here would require truly decades of not just trade protection but heavily governmental intervention to get back up to dominance, you have to remember it took China decades of unprecedented government aid and capital investment to become the world factory it is today, which is why they still out-compete in terms of cost countries where the actual cheap labor is now. If you just slap on tariffs without a plan, you can look at Brazil for what happens, whereby the massive tariffs on industries they are never going to be competitive in and can't simply result in electronics being stupidly priced.

I think Trump realistically can pull more of what he was aiming to his first term, that is using tariffs as more of a negotiating tool to bring trade agreements and terms of trade more in line with what is advantageous to the US, as well placing them more firmly where they make the most immediate impact, areas that are merely faltering or just competitive but could use the extra help in domestic competition.

Is there any chance it could ever swing back?
If every person raised on the West Coast suddenly disappeared from reality, like a Thanos snap, then sure Colorado could go red. Unfortunately the locust have descended and will only leave once the fields, glades, and valleys have been rendered lifeless.

I don't understand the question either. I'd need time to think about it.
Basic trolley question.

It boils down to whether you care more about justice or punishment. If you would rather see 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man go away to prison wrongfully, you care more about justice. If you would rather see 10 innocent men go to prison than one guilty man go free, you care more about punishment.

There isn't even a "right or wrong" answer it's just a way for attorneys doing selection to figure out if they want that juror in the pool or not, and she couldn't even understand that abstract concept, tbh she has no need to be deciding the freedom of another human being.

Here's something funny I found. There's this article by newsweek
And one of the top comments is from ""someone"" who repeats the exact same copypasta in multiple different articles

Not unexpected for there to be bots, but I just find it amusing to see such blatant and obvious astroturfing so out in the open anyone can see it by looking at the person's profile
