Within the last day or so, an ever-elusive Halloween event started:

In the days prior, with residual positivity around the "Classic Hunt" earlier this year being okay and rising hype around new "proper" event items (including retextures—not remakes, actual retextures!—of classic hats), there were hopes that "The Haunt" would be decent:

In retrospect, the cursed camera accessory was a sign of things to come. It's wack.

All it is is "join one of these arbitrarily-specified games wearing an at-least-vaguely spooky outfit and take a screenshot with this new in-game screenshot tool we're clearly still beta testing". The used phrasing is "costume contest", but it barely feels like one, and the majority of the contest submissions don't even understand the assignment.

All but helenaayi's submission are of pre-existing monsters from the participating games, making that user a daily winner by default.

And the event items? At best, you can waste your time hopping from profile to profile of admins giving out the smashed pumpkins just to get stuck in server queue trying to join them. At worst, well, the price of A Darker Presence is right there—but what about the first Sinister retexture in a good while?

US:HD, the group behind Pressure, opted in as a Haunt participant some time in advance. They made a dedicated sub-game anticipating The Haunt to be a "dev hunt"—in present terms, a real Roblox event—only to learn days before it began that the entire sub-game wasn't necessary.

When I say "dedicated sub-game", I mean they made a whole new half-length version of their base game, themed it for the scary season, gave it a new story, setting, and enemy types, made new music for it, recorded unique voice lines for it, gave it its own sub-lobby that you have to go to to play it—just to learn very belatedly that all of that effort was a waste because, unbeknownst to them, it's not what was being asked for.

So it was released two days in advance of The Haunt itself, and upon the event starting this plaque appeared:

And on Xitter, a thread appeared:

He has a few additional tweets talking about it, but this is the meatiest of them. Even with past drama covered in mind, this just sucks. The discrepancy between what the player base and the developers that rise from it wants and what Roblox corp. wants is so clear-cut it's not funny, and you just know the latter will continue to not listen.

It was supposed to be released almost 2 years ago, still nothing came out of it.
Such is the reality of a troon+furry devs. They "work" but they get nothing substantial done, their work has no quality behind it. It's usually the most convoluted IoT shit you can think of.

Also someone else tried to make something called "Blockland rebuilt" but i don't know how well that project went.

there was a community made blockland update with some decent additions but to no one's surprise, it's made by oldtroons who require you to register your ownership of blockland through discord. TTD.

You're comparing a separate community-driven project (of which hates Blockland, comparing the two is like left vs. right) to a game which has completely changed from release. Blockland is still Blockland (mostly), ROBLOX is not; Blockland won the old brick game war by doing absolutely nothing while Minecraft and especially ROBLOX rot away with a heavy dose of pedophilia and a hint of HRT.

Blockland has been long since dead, it's steam release and v24 have basically killed it.
The only one left playing are diehard fans who will shun anything and anybody coming in contact with it, or the Blockland Rebuild players who are still trying to make some sort of update to that corpse.
What exactly as Badspot won? A golden dildo? Because it's sure as shit not a thriving community, at least, not what it could've been if badspot, kompressor and the other devs weren't fucking over the customers. Remember when they removed the static map because the new lightning system wouldn't work? turns out it was a flat out lie. or what about using the Torque game engine, which was some piece of shit even back then? just because you haven't seen anyone grooming openly doesn't mean it doesn't happens, you should've played back in the days when FNAF first released. It was a furry hellscape. Also, why the fuck is RTB down is still beyond anyone's guess, but the alternatives' devs (glass and whatever) were having as much retardation, like one of them being a virus, the other having a groomer dev, the list goes on.

Yeah, Brickadia is a case study. On one hand you've got a game that doesn't choke and die the moment you load up a build that's more than 150 bricks (Seriously, even the demo builds would lag the game due to the shit engine) as seen in this video:

For example, the microbricks here would give for a much more freedom for the builds, rather than having to deal with download around 100 mods, which is the bare minimum for a decent build according to the BL forums. And look at that, the engine isn't dying at the mere thought of making some absurd builds. Try that on blockland and see the engine dying in real time. That's the only good aspect of brickadia, though. And it's once again, because of the Unreal Engine, not necessarily because of the game devs' abilities.

But on the other hand, most of the "devs" are lunatics, deviants, and are completely delusional about their abilities as game developers. The only one who probably isn't a complete retard is that Vitawrap, one of the old lead devs, who apparently does (or did) most of the work and was too focused working to see his discord turning into a pedo ring. At least, that's what I could gather from the Blockland forums' various exposé on the Brickadia lulzy devs.
tl;dr: don't hire troons. furries would get a pass if you keep them on a tight leash, but then again, that's just asking for too much trouble for it to be worth it.

Brickadia also has lots of anti-customer practices, global moderation that would prevent you from playing a game you paid for, servers that are just lobbies (so a big centralization of servers, that surely won't end up poorly), and EULA which is just retarded.... it really goes on and on, and that's even with keeping the troon shit out of the picture.

edit: lol the dev team completely changed since the original demo, in 2018.

you'd be surprised at how many BL-oriented discord groups and how pretty much any other RTB alternatives have had pedos, including in the dev teams. They simply lost interest after blockland effectively died down. it's not a victory, it's just the result of the whole community leaving.
For posterity:
RTB was both a mod repository and a mod that allowed you to download mods, a bit like gmod's toybox way back the days. It was maintened by one of the devs (I think Rotondo) until one day he decided he had enough and closed everything down. That mod also implemented some social features like friends and chats, as well as group chats (all hosted on I think an IRC channel). You can already see where this is going. When the mod went down, there were lots of short-lived alternatives, except one called "Glass" which had its own repo and mirrored RTB's features. The issue is that the mod was also riddled with pedos, but the community simply mocked them and called them all out. That doesn't mean there wasn't any grooming.

Anyways, we should get our very own autists to try and make their own blockland-inspired game. Let's called Kiwiland or something, I'm fairly sure we could really help the forum's finances (or inside jokes repository) just with the sheer amount of retardation this would spark. On one hand, SJWs and Troons would give us free publicity, and the chuds would donate just out of spite.

Parlo is on another attention whoring spree after bringing up an old Pyrocynical drama earlier around November 8th, getting another twitter account of his (most likely from spamming tweets every 20 minutes to anyone who bothered to reply), most images of this have not been archived. He became extremely defensive whenever anyone mentioned the wrist cutter femboy groomer "homotopia" discord server he was a part of. Linking his 100 page "counterpoint" DEBOONKING document.
It is also noteworthy how he inserted random US political discourse in between his tweets.
