A significant number of new yorkers allow themselves to be shit on and beat up. Just look at how many immigrant activists are killed by the people they helped, imagine what they would do to people that don't help them:

His type of grift is really lucrative and easy. He's also buddy-buddy with Elon. Malaysian government had a chance to do something good and yet they did nothing. I'm also curious what Elon is going to do, if we get the scenario where Trump loses.

I was just traveling and had the same issue. Nearly everyone asked me if I was voting for Trump and why. A woman said "well these people cling to power", and I told her no. It's not that they cling to power, they have masters and who own them who refuse to allow them to retire. She was appalled to hear how Diane Feinstein was rolled into Congress to vote on a fucking stretcher and IV. Another old man commented how they need someone younger, and I straight up told him "There won't be anyone younger. Imagine being a young man or woman in Congress and seeing your elders get rolled in on stretchers, or Biden on stage fumbling through word salad dementia, or Mitch McConnell having a stroke on live television. These people are NOT ALLOWED to retire and nobody watches how they're treated and wants to replace them". The fun part however, was when I got to explain what sundown towns were to them.

I had some Canadian friends who said Americans were racist. One was a small woman whom while on vacation to LA tried to take the subway at 3AM and unironically got chased by niggers trying to rape her for over a mile. The other while visiting me suggested we ride public transportation because it's cheaper than Ubering. She apologized for calling Americans racist by the end of that ride and was asking me "Why are these people (Niggers) like this?!!?!!??". Now whenever a foreigner says Americans are racist to me, I offer them an all expenses paid vacation to X bad city and tell them if they can spend two weeks there and by the end honestly still claim Americans are racist, then I will acknowledge they are correct. Nobody has accepted this challenge yet. Their normal answer is "If something happens, I'll just call the cops" and then they tend to recoil in horror when I cackle like a hyena, and say "Cops?! There ain't no cops coming to help you! Are you bleeding or dying? No? Sorry, we don't come out after sundown unless you're dying."

He played both sides of GamerGate, first as an SJW Aggro journo, then made a face turn to backstab the SJWs around 2017ish. The face turn got a bunch of right wing accounts following muh based bannana, and he boosted that further by running some other "outlet" accounts that he recursively retweets/cross links with.

Around the time Elon started the process of buying twitter, Ian started aggressively reply guy'ing him, and a few fortuitous retweets later, with the massive number of bot follows that come with an Elon retweet, here we are. The new monetization availability is further incentivizing his activity.
