It's mostly women that don't wanna be called dykes, had some form of childhood trauma/neglect, AND browsed social media and forum sites that other girls like them created.
It's a made up thing that they can feel special and can create their own expectations of what it means. They don't feel like they are what a woman (or a man) should be so they choose to be something that most people have no idea what it is so they have no expectations for.
That's an excellent analysis actually, identifying with an incoherent category to avoid failing expectations... That's pretty fucking depressing.

the reason is because owlcat lost the rights of kingmaker when they went independant and havent been able to get them back. Suposedly they arent allowed to even update the game.
and its a shame, because kingmaker could really use pathfinder WOTR qol improvements. and kingmaker is to this day an unbalanced mess.
WOTR is not better. To this day I have never been able to do the quest for the Trickster path, in fact all the Mythic Paths besides angel and lich are a complete joke. Gold Dragon is just "hey buddy wanna be a dragon well here you go". I've had to replay entire acts because companion quests didn't trigger, mostly the hell act that's busted as shit and for months one of the companions was just not spawning in town at all making any interaction there impossible.

Of course there's gonna be bugs but I expect to actually be able to finish a game because the story is now over, not because a script shat itself and failed to trigger the next part. I appreciate what Owlcat are doing to some extend I'm just not always in the mood to go into a game knowing I have to use a mod to set plot flags manually to actually progress as I'm meant to.

it sounds exactly like grooming. i don't even know if it was intentional. this sounds exactly like the modern discord bullshit. they even talk about introducing the qunari to other trannies and seeing if what they say helps convince them.
Grooming is the only language trannies speak, everything they do is to normalise degeneracy and recruit into their cult to justify their own narcissistic existence.

Y'know, it's true. I wasn't really thinking about it while watching, but you're spot on.

So this story arc isn't merely "non-binary weirdo comes to terms with her weirdness"; it's "confused possibly autistic loner gets groomed into sexual weirdness." Lovely!

Oh, and fuuuuuuck whoever decided this pile of confused firebreathing shit hooks up with Lace Harding if you don't romance either of them. Just when I thought I couldn't loathe this any more than I do.

I dont know, the fact that demons in dragon age are so different compared to other demons in fantasy means that a potential tiefling like race could be unique enough that it could avoid to be considered just a copycat.

That's their whole problem.
They WANT the copycat.

If they change it too much, it isn't enough like a tiefling that the people who want to play a tiefling would want to play one.

That's pretty fucking depressing.
It is. I've met a few "non-binary" people, they are all women (never met one that was a man) and that is the 'vibe' I picked up from them and seeing what other people like them on the Internet talk about (mainly Tumblr).
The ones I have met were fine people to talk to and hangout with but most of them I feel like never had strong parents. Parents that would love them enough to correct things they did wrong or love them enough to stay together to raise them.

I don't think Concord was as ""WOKE"" as the clickbait channels on YouTube said. Yeah it had the gay queer window dressing and whatnot, but it failed because it just wasn't interesting or looked fun. It was aping Overwatch almost a decade after Overwatch came out and lost it's newness.

However, this Dragon Age thing is a different beast though.
Concord had that godawful, terrible preview cinematic trailer and the whole griftosphere jumped on it like piranhas in the Orinocco main. It was doomed from thence to be piled with the rest of the woke disasters being spewed forth this year.
Then you fired up the game and the characters had fucking pronouns on them. You could've just patched those out and left the game be, but no.

Remember when teefs were Haer'dalis (also from a Bioware game funnily enough) and not technicolour freakshit? Those were the days.

Incredible, truly I didn't think it could be that bad. Two plot moments are arguing with your mom over the dinner table lmaoooo. The key moment has the bitch mom telling sir doombreath that its her faggot daughter who is the real dragon, tested by the fires of being an ugly women. It's over

Lore and aesthetic bits I did pick up on is you discover there existed the gender neutral peace-pipe smoking qunari and they confirm some kinda dragon descent. The memed scene where Isabella misgenders taasha looks weird, Do troons love monster hunter or something? It reminds me deeply of that, especially the weird Egyptian dancer costume they shoved an already gypsy coded Isabella into. I guess almost every female character has the deep cut french shirt thing going on so they changed the appearance of a legacy character.

I also noticed the MC not taking off they're helmet during scenes no matter how in appropriate it is. Now that's a true return to form

Hold on, what's all this 'mother' bullshit?

Qunari don't have parents. They're raised communally. The concept is so alien to them that Sten thinks you're making up words to fuck with him when you ask him about his 'par-ents'.

That's actually addressed, believe it or not. Taash's mother appears to have abandoned the Qun. At any rate, she complains that under the Qun children are raised by people who are more suited to it, i.e., the tamassrans, though she doesn't use the word.

Are you expecting consistancy from these people? This is the same race that would find the concept of a woman warrior so vexing that they'd think you were lying about being a woman, much less the concept of non-binary identification. I know it's been harped on a lot already, but it's insane they chose the Qunari, of all races, to have this character, not even a Tal-Vashoth!

I can't parse whether they're Tal-Vashoth or not. The mother seems to have left the Qun, but they still try to follow it? Who knows. There seems to be some rift splitting the qunari apart in this game, not unlike the Wardens, the templars, and the Orlesian Empire all getting fucked and going crazy in Inquisition. Which is absurd, given the obsessive unity the Qun has demonstrated until this point, but maybe they justify it somehow.

Or the writing will be amateur hour and it'll come across as contrived bullshit. Hard to say!

Also: You say "insane," I say "spiteful." There is no way this storyline wasn't going to be assigned to a qunari character just to further irritate everyone who objected to the retconning that made Krem acceptable to Iron Bull in DAI.
