The optimum is probably to have most of your population marrying and breeding within group but not too close, and a very few doing it outside with other groups . This is how things would have been for most of history, barring the aftermath of disaster or skirmishing.

I can't think of a more narcissistic act than interracial marriage.
If you love someone you would want more of that someone on earth. A mix raced kid is less related to either parent than a random compatriot. You are effectively erasing both parents lineage for someone that has no homeland and no tribe. That's skirting over the many issues mixed kids have, mental, social and health related.
So if it's not for your loved one and it's not for your kids the interracial marriage's only purpose is fulfilling a fantasy.
