I -think- the Clinton gaffe is what gave Jill the idea but I don't think the Clintons are similarly doing anything. This was a one and done thing from what I have heard, a parting shot and a deliberate telling of it as a final Fuck You to Harris.

Usually I’m happy to take you at your word but I’m not believing without some serious evidence that the back-to-back garbage “gaffes” were Biden and Trump colluding to take down Kamala. That’s something that’s funny for us to joke about but I don’t think anyone here seriously believes it actually happened. I can believe that Biden did it to spite Kamala, I genuinely believe that he’s been intentionally tanking her campaign under the plausible deniability of dementia, but coordinating it with Trump stretches my suspension of disbelief.

The joke thing was unrelated, just good timing. It was a week tip off that Biden would find a way to publicly call all of Trump's supporters "Garbage".

More or less "Hey, we plan to make this massive gaffe at some point, plan for it". Doing it as response to the joke was just taking the opportunity to do it.

To be fair Joe Biden's been doing everything he could to make sure that Harris can't easily say she wasn't part of his presidency. I would say it's just Jill, but all the behavior since the soft coup has made it clear that Joe has it in for Harris.

Never underestimate just how much spite can motivate a person. It's given that dementia-ridden fuck a clarity of purpose, and it's all specifically to fuck Harris over.

I think their interests align, but for completely different reasons. Trump wants to win, so he's doing his thing. Biden hates Kamala, so he's saying wild shit. They don't need to actually collude in order to bounce off eachother, in a sense.
