Whats depressing is hearing about his dementia moments that are not trying to hide anymore. They just don't get any media traction because... well, Joe is now irrelevant. Hell I haven't even bothered to relay them despite having actual proof of several.

One heartbreaking one that convinced me that the two do love eachother is Joe wandering off in a daze, clearly gone and having no idea where he is, his SS detail sends word to Jill who comes over. Not mad or angry, just concerned. When she calls for Joe he turns to her and just -beams-, saying and I quote "There is the most beautiful woman in the world".

The man is gone, into happier times, and its a fucking tragedy. And any news coming out of him being gone like the baby thing just has lost its luster for me. Its too damn depressing.
I would have preferred Trump to win over Biden in 2020, but sometimes I get sad thinking about Biden now, because there’s no way him and Jill don't think about the coup every single day. Biden genuinely did work very hard his entire life to get into that position.

I'm almost completely convinced Kamala is hated by all, or at least everyone with a functional brain. As for her campaign I'd agree its definitely got a shot at dethroning Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign as the Dems worst attempt to win the white house.
The worst modern Democratic attempt to win the White House was running George McGovern in 1972.

Arguably, the worst attempt of all was 1860. They got a little uppity that time, but we put them in their place. We did it once and we can do it again.

I’m beginning to accept the notion that the neoconservatives and their associates will allow Trump to secure victory this time, only to subsequently cause the economy to collapse when he assumes power.
I used AI to change my ramblings into something more coherent.
I mean I’ve assumed for awhile the agreement of ‘I can fix the big issues you have problems with and take all the blame while everyone clean ranks’ has been made.

How a lot of places are talking about Trump all across the board has clearly changed.

Pretty sure the betting markets are largely controlled by a few pro-Trump people and are not at all indicative of who is likely to win. All the action that was taken against the steal this year were too little, too late.
That's a really pessimistic outlook on the election, thought I understand how you came to that conclusion. I try to remind myself a simple truth in times like this. In all of American history no one party has been able to stay in control of the white house forever.

Of fucking course.

Dunno whether I should be angry or impressed. Send us strength, Kiwis. Send us strength.

So what time did the Trump/Rogan podcast come out? It was so late I thought for sure it would be the next day. I'm starting to feel the same for Vance.
i'd be shocked if he pushes it out tonight, the trump one was pushed out quick. Keep in mind too, vance's reportedly lasted an hour longer so it might be an hour later just because of that.

Anyone rating disagree/dumb on this is retarded:
  • To begin with the volume on the "Donald Trump yes/no" market is at $1 billion USD and the market for "Kamala Harris yes/no" market is only at $600m USD--if people are confident that Trump will win then they would be betting "no" on Kamala also.
  • Crypto markets are currently heavily biased towards pro-Trump people in the first place because Trump supporters are already more open to/supportive of using cryptocurrency in the first place. Left leaning people have typically been vehemently anti-crypto for a significant amount of time due to a laundry list of reasons. (I say currently because I'm talking about in the context of this particular election, in the future that may change dramatically)
  • The crypto regulatory environment in the US under the Biden administration has been disastrous. Numerous companies have been fucked around by the SEC over bullshit meanwhile they let FTX go without doing anything. There are dozens of very key cryptocurrency figureheads/thought leaders that are publicly and adamantly pro-Trump purely due to the regulatory shit that has been happening over the past 4 years alongside some other reasons.
  • So there is very likely a hugely, strongly embedded idea that exists that if Trump is elected he will do something at the SEC that will make the US cryptocurrency industry and market flourish (the opposite has been happening under Biden). So many of these bets "for" Trump may actually be bets that "want" him to win because it would mean the price and availability of cryptocurrency increases dramatically.
  • Keep in mind that Polymarket bars all US users to begin with (though most just use a VPN)
  • There are tons of people with "dirty" crypto money, including the North Koreans who will plausibly be doing some amount of volume to launder the money.
  • There's a single French dude who got news coverage because of how large his bets were: https://www.forbes.com/sites/dereks...ls-french-trader-bet-28-million-on-trump-win/
  • There are claims of wash trading and other shit going on: https://fortune.com/crypto/2024/10/30/polymarket-trump-election-crypto-wash-trading-researchers/
