Personally, I would prefer a DeSantis or Paul, but Trump is what we've got so that's what I'm going with. But since you asked, the economy was doing well under Trump, and we were actually enforcing our immigration laws, these are the two issues that are most important to me, so that is why I'm voting for him. It is worth noting that he did not fulfill his promise to build a wall, but he did make at least some progress until he was blocked by a court order or something, so at least he tried.

It seems like the second Biden took office prices went through the roof. Whatever he's doing, whatever he's done, hasn't worked, and I have no faith that Kamala will be any better.

Someone posted yesterday in the context of the Middle East / a thread where someone was calling him hitler in the article that trump is very good at making deals, and expects that deal to be carried out. I hadn’t thought about it like that but the more I do the more I think it’s true. He subverts the current backstabbing by simply going in, sitting people down and asking ‘how can we make this work for everyone’ , making a sound deal, and then expecting them to stick to it. It sounds so simple it’s almost retarded, but it’s simply not how politics has been working the last few years.
The screeching arises when people want to have their cake and eat it and the man is sat there expecting them to do their bit too but he’s go the big guns behind him.
You can see it with his NATO stuff - to him it’s simple , you said you’d pay in x% and you’re not, that’s not what we agreed, sort it out.
People say the man is corrupt but there’s a genuine honesty in brokering a deal, and then making sure everyone sticks to it. Kim wants to be treated like a world player, OK son, here you are, seat at the table. But you have to behave. And he largely did. we could probably sort out Ukraine and the ME with this kind of approach too. Jaw jaw generally IS better than war war. ( For the people. Maybe less so for those who profit from forever wars. )
I’m an honest person I think, and I can respect that approach. A deal is done that works for everyone and then you stick to it and if you don’t, there are consequences. It’s a bit like parenting really.
