I happened to have recently finished BG1 and am currently playing BG2. 90+% of NPC's are white.

For BG1 that's literally the people who worked on the game or their relatives.

Starfield had the "bethesda new RPG prestige" and far less feral homosexuality.

You want to talk offensive, then just take a good look around the people of New Atlantis or one of the 3 other "big" cities in that game. It's an assault on the senses, at least Dread Wolf isn't the worst game I have ever seen. There is being a homo and then there is being a disgusting, subhuman gamebryo homo mutt with broken AI and a dead stare.
I will also disagree with you on the "prestige". I can guarantee you that more people looked forward to this game on the brand name alone than with Starfield, a game that I remember was mocked even when it was unveiled because everyone knew it would just be Skyrim in space. Once we found out more about the game and it leaked, even more people mocked it, nobody outside the biggest Bethesda cultists and clueless normalfags was excited for it. Even if modern Bioware is a shell of it's former self, it still has more "prestige" than Bethesda does, which is one of the reasons why people are grieving right now. There is still some vain hope that Bioware will release another good Dragon Age or Mass Effect game, even the biggest Bethesda believers lost all hope for TES6 and Fallout 5.

The standards aren't very high right now, but Starfield is still on the bottom of the barrel even then, is what I am trying to say.

We'll see if it cracks 100k players, the Bioware name is still strong.

Not really, all it means is that there are 100k desperate Biotrannies that bought this slop. Bioware will never be a respectable company again, it's the game's brand name alone that might still have some recognition. If Bioware was still a serious contender, then Anthem wouldn't have flopped, that was their first original IP in years.

The average Veilguard npc is better than Starfield, but the abominations you can shit out in Veilguard are way uglier than whatever space ape you could make in Starfield. Or at least I couldn't make a truly revolting Oblivion style eldritch horror in Starfield.

I'm just going to interject here because I see a lot of misunderstandings about BG3's wokeness when compared to DA.

Baldur's Gate is set in the Forgotten Realms. FR was created by Ed Greenwood who is a degenerate Canadian hippie who, even back in the 70s, was filling FR with all manner of degeneracy (much of it would be taboo even by today's standards). TSR/WotC obviously do a bit of cleanup around the edges but the core conceit of Forgotten Realms is that it's Canadian progressive hippie fantasy complete with kitchen sink globohomo diversity. Ergo, BG3 is woke because it has to be, otherwise it's literally out-of-touch with the setting. Whether or not that's a good thing is obviously up to the consumer but there's nothing 'new' about what BG3 is doing with FR other than making the women slightly uglier. Even back in the 90s, the FR video games (including BG1) had this progressive shit out the wazoo.

DAtV, on the other hand, is not only woke but it's woke in direct contravention of the franchise's established tone and setting. That's why it feels so especially egregious compared to BG3.

Off topic, but to expand: Ed Greenwood isn’t just a Canadian Hippie, he’s probably the luckiest son of a bitch in the universe. He scored a creative control license so good that he gets final say on lore and he can insert anything into his setting and it’s just fact. What Ken Penders wants/believes he has over his characters is actually what Ed Greenwood has. So enjoy all the traditional brothel visits and post-dungeon adventurer orgies; they’re canonical!

Unless I’ve completely mixed him up with Greyhawke or Dragonlance, but I’m 90% certain it’s Forgotten Realms.
