Exactly how is AM poorly run and it's guests getting screwed over? They never post any examples. Their only source is "trust me bro".

He's never going to go away because you're the ones who won't let it go. Why would you? It's the only thing that gives you attention and engagement. Case in point, the LawTwitter/ Threadnought cunts and their alts continuing to actively seek out and stir up drama and keep it going, even in topics and places completely unrelated, as if they have some kind of gain from it all on top of the derangement and sadism. What else can you expect from people who have self admitted to enjoy getting into fights with people, complete strangers, on the internet? That says infinitely more about them then it does anyone else.

Just you wait, in January and February, they're going to be jacking each other off over Vic getting fired on the anniversary that it happened. We all know it will happen. If I was just an ordinary anime fan, and I didnt know anything about drama related to Vic or any drama attached to Funi or Crunchyroll or whatever, I'm sure that I'd have a decent time lol. It's fascinating that there is a stigma at all attached to anime matsuri, as for the most part, it just seems like an okay-ish anime convention. All conventions have their problems lol Just look at FGC conventions for example, and im sure all anime cons have their issues - anime expo probably has a lot of dirt.

According to someone who attended, there were multiple events cancelled the few times they went--or they changed location confusingly at the last minute.

They do have a few very valuable connections to Japanese artists and companies like Godzilla and Toei that make them relevant and competitive.

It's been well-publicized the guy who owns Anime Matsuri, John Leigh, is a sleazy at best guy involved in some questionable relationships. IIRC he and his wife are swingers and they've been accused of shit involving trying to sleep with consluts and others. These seem a lot more credible accusations than anything against Vic. But people like him are undoubtedly common in the conventions industry.

As much as I want to see AM studios prosper, I believe it would be difficult due to Leigh's lasciviousness. I hope Vic or someone reputable in the Anime community would take over.
