No, I said libertarians and I mean libertarians. Our Democrat mayor cut the police to the bone in response to Fentanyl Floyd's death. This was unpopular at the time, and is still unpopular. Crime is now up over 400%. Certain areas of the city that were livable are now no-go zones. We've had an election since then, and the Republican candidate refused to even talk about the crime problem or the need to restore the police force because his idiot campaign consultants said "that's big government, we can't run on big government thinking." So he ran on tax cuts.

He lost.

Another issue, which I didn't mention because the post was getting long, is Republicans have also adopted "we go high while they go low" campaigning, which is a loser tactic. You have to bullycide your opponent. Instead, these retards all think that talking about the legitimate problems caused by Democrat rule is "going low" and "makes us look mean-spirited," you have a city with trash in the streets, bums pissing all over the bus stops, and broad-daylight murders, and the GOP mayoral candidate's mailer says something like:

VOTE FOR FAGGOT RETARD, A CANDIDATE FOR THE PEOPLE
[x] From this city
[x] Loves this city
[x] Promises to keep this city great
[x] Education is important!

because he's been told that talking about the murders and bum piss is "going negative" and "criticizing the city."
A lot of Republicans also fear bringing up crime because they're afraid to be called racist. They're 60 year olds who grew up in the paradigm where racists and nazis were taught to be the scum of the earth. If you don't love every man you're not a good christian, etc.

In the 90s, Republican mayors ran on good governance, like doing a better job of keeping the crime down and the pot holes filled, but now, libertarians say that's "socialism," so they don't run for election anything anyone gives a shit about, so they lose.
You’re way out of date. Republican candidates run on municipal issues like being tough on crime and reducing congestion while Democrats candidates run on protecting abortion and freeing Palestine, neither of which are municipal issues.
White cities vote Democrat, too. Denver's 70% white and D+60.
Denver is 54% White. It hasn’t been 70% White since the 1970s.

Yeah and the only people that would take tax cuts over their own personal safety are anarchists. My point is that it's not an appealing platform to anyone but anarchists, considering the context you had given. Only an idiot who wants literally zero government would be swayed by that and it's why he lost.
…do the Amish have credit cards? Don’t think I’ve ever seen a self checkout that takes cash.
The self checkouts I've used all have a slot for cash.

I can scarcely wait for the insider accounts of her campaign to start coming out and for someone to write a book about this election. As much as Democrats are still on the Kamala train right now, they will turn on her and she will be thrown under the bus by everyone else including the Clintons, Obamas, and other party insiders who forced Biden out and handed Kamala the reins.
If Lord willing Trump wins I do not expect them to throw Kamala under the bus, if anyone is going under the bus it’s Biden who will never make another political speech after January 2025.. Maybe his family will do a quiet apolitical image rehabilitation like Jimmy Carter did with Habitats for Humanity but the narrative will be Biden waited too long to drop out and left expecting Harris to succeed at the 11th hour. Also the Garbage comment and the dozen other things Joe did to seemingly derail Harris’s momentum will be blamed.

What I’m left wondering is what’s the future of the DNC because the party is going to be at a crossroads with moderate Bill Clinton side fighting for control with the radical left. Not like I’m soothsayer but I think the Dems will be forced to have an image reinvention like the GOP did. I just don’t see how a Democratic Party that doesn’t really stand for anything maintains any relevancy.

With all of these polls going around, I have to wonder who gets called for polls and why? I have never gotten a political call or survey they seems legitimate in my email.
I know gay men who survived the AIDS crisis in the 1980's and fucking despise Anthony Fauci. It absolutely boggles my mind that more of these guys didn't come out and criticize Fauci and the NIH for how they handled AIDS.
That's because doing so would've gotten them expelled from the cult.

Less than 24 hours after it dropped, JD Vance's interview on Rogan is over 7 million views. Since it was Halloween yesterday and a lot of people were celebrating or taking their kids trick-or-treating it will pick plenty of additional views today.

Meanwhile the Kamala Harris episode on Shannon Sharpe's podcast picked up another ~100k views to nudge over the 1.4 million mark. The view count on the Call Her Daddy podcast languishes well below 1 million views. Even Kamala were to make an appearance on Rogan it's too late for it to do anything for her in the way that she needs.

Only thing i wonder is how would places like the media and reddit react to that.

RFK Jr's shaping up to be their guy tbh, if they accept that the rich and powerful behaving as evil vulturous fucks wasn't a viable long-term strategy for the nation and get the fuck out of his way we could have a full - and most importantly bloodless - cleanse of the body politic. Assuming he's genuine, it'd be a hell of a good rebound from the rather shitty start our country had to this century.

I used to wonder the same. They polled my TDS roommate yesterday, so if he's the norm I imagine the polls aren't wildly accurate.

The Amish don't -really- reject technology like people think. Rather their lifestyle and belief is more about rejecting the easy solutions that technology provides and doing all they realistically can with physical, by-hand means. A strong belief that hardwork and faithful living are more important than easy solutions and what they view as hedonism.

Never heard her saying anything that isn't the most basic bitch take expressed in the most dumbed down way possible
have you tried watching her on mute?
splits a bit w
women always vote dem a bit more, trump got like 9 points of black men last time.
Kim Jong Un saw him and said ‘Oh shit, I think he wants to go to war’
i love Trump's stories because unlike the rest of DC who make it feel like "Veep", Trump's more like the A-Team or Burn Notice. He's a mostly sane man, who tries to help other normal dudes who have to put up with the crazies who control everything.
To be fair, cities are so deep blue it probably doesn't even matter. Hung Cao is literally running the campaign you want, and its almost like a guy from a Kung Fu movie is running for senate with how he talks and from his ads, he's still going to lose by double digits. people forget most moderates and conservatives hate seeing men get angry or mean for whatever reason.

I think I've maybe gotten one phone call that was related to state elections once a couple years ago, maybe 2022 midterms. But I honestly wouldn't mind answering legitimate surveys. Far better than the usual phone call which is foreign scammers and robots.

Updated Election Predictions
>NJ, NV, and VA are toss ups
>GA and PA are blue
>Blue wall hodls
>NM is red

I am going to rate this very optimistic. I know in NJ Rs are leading Ds in early voting, but there is a solid D political machine there. For VA, I want to believe. I know in AZ and NM, Latinos are breaking to Trump by double digits compared to 2016 and 2020 so I can buy that. However, I don't see how GA is blue this cycle.

Around here all the self checkouts have the hardware to take cash-and-coin but there's usually only one or two machines that are actually accepting cash on a given day. If I land on that machine I usually slip a hundred in and pay the rest via debit just because I have way too much cash on hand

I can vouch for this, because my company has sold tech products that require offline only functionality to the Amish. Being vague as possible for obvious reasons.

Things like computers are often used for business' and selling Amish made goods. The computer is usually kept in a closed off part of the house, inaccessible by anyone but the business owner, but with a big fucking window looking right in to where the screen is so anyone passing by can confirm the owner is only doing business.

Different sects and even communities also accept different levels of technology. I've seen Mennonites (another anabaptist sect) that allow cell phones, but only for business, and they're flip phones.
