I'm guessing the indemnity insurance might have been an issue as well. That shit is expensive as all hell when you're a lawyer in good standing. When you're facing a defamation lawsuit and criminal charges for possession of cocaine and firearm offences, I'm guessing that your payments are gonna go through the roof -- if you can still find someone to insure you.
Meh. It's not required in MN.

It is smart, though (especially if you have a history of blowing deadlines, have a substance habit, etc.). It can be as low as ~$500/year starting out to much more/ average (sorry forgot to get the source) is $2500-3000/year. Crim law is considered relatively low risk, from what I've seen, and Nick's client volume and years of actual practice would definitely point to a lower rate.

A couple general statements I found about rates:

Premiums start for as little as $200 to $500 for a claim free attorney without coverage in lower risk practice areas but expect premiums to rise over the first 5 to 7 years due to step-rating. With adequate limits the average costs for a fully rated attorney should be $1,200 to $2,500 per year. Attorneys in higher risk practice areas should expect to pay around $3,000 to $10,000 per year. These premiums vary by state and location in the state based on the insurer’s past claim experience. Law firms are insured as an entity and the cost is on a per-attorney basis.
For attorneys purchasing $ 1 million/ $ 1 million limits, we’ve seen customers pay as little as $1,000 per attorney and as much as $8,000 per attorney. However, many customers fall between ranges of $1,000-$2,000 for firms practicing in low-risk areas and $3,000-$5,000 for firms practicing in high-risk areas.

But lol, yeah, it might have reason to skyrocket now.

best part is this isn't even the end either, we still have Nick and Kayla's court dates unless they plea, and once thats taken care of the arrest and the search warrant body cam footage is fair game, WE STILL HAVE PLENTY OF CORN TO HARVEST BOYS AND GIRLS!

The Farms always comes out on top.

BREAKING NEWS!

As of November 1st, Nick Rekieta is no longer authorized to practice law in the State of Minnesota!

I don't think he holds a license in any other jurisdiction, either.

NON practicing NON lawyer.

EDIT to add: I anticipated this might finally happen, so I keeping checking this past week (including yesterday), and it flipped over to Not Authorized today.

He's probably got the money, so I think it's the CLE credits that fucked him. Somebody pointed out earlier they were due this year.

(However, if you'd like a good alternate theory, where CLE credits weren't the main issue, see here).

EDIT 2: Archive link added for posterity.
EDIT 3: Added link to post concerning CLE credits requirements.
bro is about to be an overqualified store manager for Michael's

I don't understand why he doesn't just stop using social media, and stop reading his thread. Why would anyone subject themselves to a constant stream of people making fun of them during the most stressful period of their life? He can't possibly think he's going to change anyone's mind at this point and it clearly drives him crazy to see people talking shit about him. I just don't get it.

Anna used to play a game of working her sisters death for sympathy and I think Jeremy fell for that. He has said he's cool with her and has more or less avoided all the EJ vs EVS shit but I don't think Anna has done much with them. I know Nerdrotic curates FNT heavily and in years of watching intermittently I never saw her on it. Maybe as a guest once...
I might have been mistaken about Nerdrotic. As for g&g though, I do remember her hosting videos and being considered part of their crew back in the 2019 time frame.

Not to shit on people who don't find Rekieta interesting or are fans of other cows, but is there anyone who even comes close to skelly lawyer former lawyer?
This year? No.
Last year I voted for Tomlinson because I expected that Rekieta of 2024 will dwarf Rekieta of 2023. This year Bossman Jack comes close to Nick's "achievements" when it comes to legal problems but Bossman already was a crackhead compulsive gambler when we discovered him - jail time was only a matter of time. Nick went from someone perceived as a successful entertainer, good father, good husband and productive member of his community to... whatever he is now.

You'll have your answer to that question in December when voting for the Julays begins. My guess is Bossman Jack will be getting a lot of votes again, with maybe Dickers/RTU replacing Fatrick in the three way fight with Rekieta for the LotY crown.

I think Fatrick has fallen off a lot from last year, but maybe I'm wrong.

Hell, with all the cope tweeting Nick has been doing, Nick is poised to be a better Fatrick than Fatrick.
