Its difficult to tell what their attitude is. In the spring, Nick's parents seem to have babysat all their kids so that Nick and the other three could have a whole degenerate week to themselves at Nick's house. Nick's father at least also knew the state of the house and would have known the state of the children in the time leading up to the arrest. That the house was dirty. That the kids were not being provided with clean clothes and that they were going hungry. Nick even apparently held a dinner where he introduced his parents to Aaron and April.
They had to know the state of the house, the state of the kids, that Nick & Kayla were swinging, and that Nick & Kayla were degenerate junkies.
Nick's parents fully supported Nick during the early phases of the CPS process. From what I vaguely remember, his father even said things in court that were at a minimum shading the truth.
Aaron also told a story about Nick's father claiming that he was in Minnesota in the spring just to get Nick to pay his taxes or at least to hands-on encourage Nick to pay his taxes (income taxes from the time of year). And eventually Nick's father ended up paying Nick's property taxes for him on the second house around that time.
While they overly indulgent and overly supportive of NIck, they seem to draw the limit at providing him with cash beyond what is needed to keep the house going. Nick seems to have funded his degeneracy himself from streaming money.
Better parents would have maybe focused on trying to rehab Kayla into some sort of mother and perhaps paying Nick to stay away. This is a better situation than most in that Nick's parents have the financial resources to do just about anything imaginable. But Nick is just a bad person and there may not actually be anything in terms of a mother for the children that can salvaged from Kayla.
The nuclear option I guess would be for the grandparents to take over raising the children. But given the number of children that is alot for anyone to step up to at their age. But they eventually may have no choice. Kayla appears to be a benzo zombie and I doubt Nick has any interest in being a parent anymore let alone the ability to do it.
I speculate Nick and Kayla probably considered outright SELLING the kids to fund their addictions. I wouldn't put it past junkies to do something like that.
I would suspect that Nick uses all the kids as bargaining chips with his parents. That they are too valuable in that sense for him to sell outright.
What i do expect him to sooner or later do is get April on onlyfans and for Nick to move into the next stage of making porn.
