I am a white woman in a swing state and I early voted.

I carpooled with my good friend who voted Harris. I wasn’t going to vote but figured I would just to undermine them.

If anyone asks, I tell them I voted Jill Stein because I have climate anxiety. I didn’t affiliate with either R or D when asked.

I feel like there is a bigger pressure to hide your vote for Trump AS A WOMAN than a man at this point.

Because if you DO say you are voting for Trump, you are socially AND economically fucked.

Example: Kennedy's wife.

For those women who are already voting for Kamala,they are open and never secret. I have never heard or seen a secret kamala women voter but I did see secret Trump women voters. Meanwhile, they run ads pressuring women and men to SECRETLY VOTE for the worst candidate in the history of america.

USA is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. If it was a democracy, there could be laws that override the constitution.

What world are you living in? Those laws that override the constitution already exist. The Civil Rights act and its consequences supersede your right to free association and due process. This is on top of the security agencies having carte blanche to spy on or straight up assassinate you as long as they can get a lawyer to jump through cute legal hoops.

The US was originally conceived as a constitutional republic, but it hasn't been that in practice for a long, long time. Nearly all the old safeguards against mob rule have been dismantled in the quest for an unaccountable administrative state that claims its legitimacy from mass democracy. That we still have the EC system is something of a miracle.

I sincerely hope you are right. Being a europoor I should have no say in this matter, but thanks to globohomo, a lot of things here in Europe hinges on who is in the White House. I really hope Trump wins, finds his balls this time around and finally tells the EU and NATO they are now on their own. This would be bad for us short term, but it might trigger much needed changes on this God forsaken continent.
