I got sent down the rabbit hole that is the pedo defender forum, and holy shit.

When you say pedo defender, I think of some guy who likes loli and is overly defensive but like what the hell is wrong with these women and why do actual child fuckers get to whine about how their victim’s parents cope with having their child’s life permanently scarred? I honestly didn’t hate Reddit enough. “These people fuck children but you can’t have a marginally right wing opinion” isn’t even remotely a hyperbole.

It's not all pedos but 90% of the posts are about CP. A small amount admit actually being charged of a physical offense against a minor, and like 1% admit to assaulting adult women. Those ones have their defenders too, like one woman whining that her boyfriend can't come live with her when he gets out of prison because his ex, the victim, lives too close by. She says she doesn't know the exact details of the crime but assumes it was something that went on during an argument with the ex. Basically a "his ex is lying despite how he was convicted" post.

The guy that really creeps me out is a lawyer. He posts a lot about the battle it was to get to be a lawyer despite having CP charges over a decade ago. Although his mantra is how he has changed, some stuff he says skeeves me out. Bitches a lot about current laws that try to protect kids.

My name is Guy Hamilton-Smith. I am a law school grad who was denied the ability to take the bar exam until I am 49 years old (currently 33). I am on the sex offender registry. I am in a documentary film in production. Today, I won a lawsuit that banned me from social media. AMA

Sorry, reddit is being a cunt and won't let me link it or copy the full text but he's all fuckin over Google.

That's reddit for you. You are not allowed to have any standards for people's behavior, for them the ideal world is seeing a homeless man shooting meth and fucking a girl on the street with you cheering and sharing that on social media

they all never say what the crime was, almost like they're embarrassed to admit they, or someone they're keeping in their lives, looked at child porn to the point of a criminal conviction, at 'best'.

a lot of these women just do not understand what they're doing wrong, likely they were abused when they were younger and find this behavior 'not that bad', like this one.

you won't have people over because your husband/boyfriend is on the sex offender registry, but it's not because of all the bad shit they might have done, it's just because you know other parents would be angry that you let children visit without telling them that the guy's a sex offender? the way this is phrased obviously makes it clear this person's 'partner' had either CP or was touching kids - probably CP since they seem to be allowed around children. and then, you get the obvious bullshit the moment this is posted.

and the people asking obviously sus questions. "what state are you in that allows you to be around children as a predator!?" as if they're not clearly trying to figure it out so they can do the same shit and creep on kids still.

"sometimes i go and watch her." this is why people say pedos deserve the bullet even if they never offended. an entire subreddit dedicated to them talking with one another to figure out how they can skirt laws.

super happy funtime bonus round

"my husband the child sex offender spends lots of time around children in public, but we just make sure no one knows." "we haven't told anyone so he just leaves the house when their kids come over, trust me bro." "before all this i wanted to be the safe house, but it turned out that my husband is a pedophile, so i guess i'll just have to wait! we made sure our children are still highly endangered all the time though." i hope all these people get fedposted.

Did reddit upgrade their fingerprinting system?
I registered a new account a while ago and last week I started seeing this every time I opened the site:

Then I tried posting a few days later and got a weird message from automoderator that my post was removed because reddit has suspended my account, however, I didn't receive the classing "Your account has been permanently suspended" message in the DMs.

I made a new account yesterday and I see this shit again. The account was registered from a different IP(not VPN) and different computer. I can't post anything anywhere. No message to indicate my account has been banned, just my comments get instantly removed.

And I haven't even been naughty lately. I barely comment on anything and when I do I don't say anything bad. Are they clocking the ban circumvention somehow? How? Anyone has any idea what's this shit?

browser fingerprinting perhaps, but if it was a different computer then that's something

No way it was browser fingerprinting because it was a different browser on a different computer with different screen size and everything.
Maybe it clocked it after I logged in from my pc at home? If it did then that's something new. AFAIK they have some system in place that analyses the browser the account was registered from, as well as behavior in the first few days. For example if you make a new account and start joining a bunch of subreddits other than the ones that are recommended to you, the account can get flagged and shadowbanned. But if you don't do that and register it from a "clean" browser with non-VPN IP you're good to go in a week.
Maybe they upgraded it and it keeps track of all previously suspended fingerprints(browser fingerprint including machine specs + ip) and monitors for logins to new accounts from said blacklisted configurations? That would be something new.

Unless it's an actual server error on their end and someone else is having my problem, they really outdid themselves.

This has happened to me before (multiple times) and I have no clue why considering I have no ban history. Either some weird glitch or they are somehow able to ban you through connections to other accounts idk.

It's monthly active users not users. So just an old account logging in again is an additional monthly active user. I've used 6-8 different reddit accounts this year so, yeah it was never an accurate accounting of users especially in an election year where all the main subs are just botted with Drumpf bad posts.
The revenue increase is probably mostly the money from that Google exclusivity deal this year. Reddit users are notoriously the most worthless social media users in terms of revenue.

Speaking of Drumpf bad. /r/SuicideWatch is a good watch for sane and rational science trusters who are totally going to kill themselves if orange man (he's bad) is elected again or other more material trans-related reasons.
If one of these troons ends up committing suicide aren't the people who falsely claimed for years on end that Drumpf was going to put them in gas chambers complicit in their deaths?

Abortion is like the only single issue amerilard women care about, is aborting a national passtime or something?
Abortion is very complex issue that many Americans have strong views on. Such as dead babies are fucking hilarious but no one wants to give women any more rights. It's quite the conundrum

Abortion is like the only single issue amerilard women care about, is aborting a national passtime or something? a beloved thanksgiving tradition? how often does an american woman need to abort in a yearly basis? its just insane that this is something people revolve their entire worldview and politics from specially in an era of cheap and easy contraception.
Not going to lie my cousin has had two abortions and her sister had one and thought she got knocked up again two days later and had to take a day after pill. Shameful. Both voted Trump tho

A guy posted a meme on the Fortnite subreddit making fun of a skin that looks like a little girl:
dfc9e38e374d0fb2f409253556a9b3c1.png

26 y/o grown man proceeds to make a weird comment about how much he loves this skin and thinks its adorable:
2f31c95d795eac1c68e7f5527fe357cc.png

He edited the comment later and doubles down to make himself sound even weirder/creepier by saying the skin is "cute like my nieces". Nobody seems to think its weird a grown man wants to look like his niece except for me apparently. Welcome to Reddit.

And for the record I don't care what people play as in games, but you can say "I like how the skin looks" without sounding like a fucking chomo.

There was another "I officially have a vagina now!!!" post on the front page (feat. blahaj) I saw while on the shitter at work. Finding something like that on reddit is like finding white on rice but it really makes me wish someone would set up an RSS feed or something for each of those accounts to see how long it takes them to regret their decision.
