Fortnite

Just started playing Remix myself; it's a decent amount of fun, though I've noticed there's more sweats here than last season. Seriously, there's points where it feels like you can't go anywhere without getting immediately sniped by some guy with golden guns and an AI partner halfway across the map.

Some of the rewards are interesting-looking, though others are a bit more... mixed (looking at you, Meowdas). I am going to try and complete the full battlepass this season, along with the bonus rewards, but it feels like I'm gaining EXP a lot slower this go-around; granted, the season just started, so there's probably going to be quite a few more quests added later to help with that.

Are LEGO, Rocket Racing, and other games modes really good for EXP now? Anyone got suggestions? BR can get a bit frustrating with all the sweats sometimes, and I'd like to know if any of the other game modes are worth it. I do need to play LEGO a bunch more for the Halloween pass, regardless.

Last night when the season started i went to the yacht, dodged a bunch of sweaty motherfuckers, then killed meowdas only for another camper to try and steal/pick up my shit i opened so I shot at them, only for the game to randomly not let me shoot, but also revive meowdas at 1 hp with no weapon. Guess who picked up the gun and shot me as that happened? yeah, camper. Haven't played since because I got so fucking fed up lmao.

EDIT: Forgot to bring this up but when horde rush came back and I played it a few days ago before it went away again I got a really bad reminder of why i switched to zero build. One round the whole time was some sweat destroying any walls we made and actively trying to get the rest of the team killed/looting stuff from chests we opened and building walls and shooting faster than human reaction time could even do. I'm very fucking certain there's build bots or something for this game because this is not the first time this has happened, it's just the first time I encountered it in a fucking co op team mode in a while. He beat the boss after killing the whole team and stalling in the completely shrunken storm and after winning did like a combo of taunt and build/weapon spam. This kind of fucker is why I want wall destruction to stop being fucking nerfed into the ground.

Remix actually pulled me back from taking a break for 2 seasons. This season is fantastic in terms of gameplay, the gunplay doesn't feel weird with the attachments and heavy bullet drops. Reload solo is also refreshing and i've been hooked on it. My only problem with gameplay is the collabs interfere with the POIs, despite the amazing artist they collab with for it (Eminem and Snoop Dogg) i would've like if they held it for next season.

The battle pass is the best this chapter has had. Meowdas at first when he was teased, it looked horrible but after using it in-game, it's kinda grown on me and i think meowdas is a amazing remix skin. Chaos agent skin is great, 1-ball is amazing but i don't what skin it's trying be remix with, i know 8 ball but i don't know the other skin it's fused with. Undercover Skye is good but not something i would use. Tntina is the worst remix skin ever, first off i don't even know what skin it's being fused with, the skin looks so bland that i was convinced by the design alone that it'll be a starter pack.

Overall, i think this season is the equivalent to finding a clean water well in the middle of the desert that's full of wells, instead of water it's sewage inside the other wells. A goddamn refreshing season after the disappointment that has been chapter 5 as a whole.
Very weird way to sum it up.

@The Lawgiver Yeah, I've had plenty of issues with guys just spamming walls everywhere in BR myself; not every match, but it's happened often enough that it just gets ridiculous. I think I've only won one match against one of those guys, and that was more because I had loaded up on healing supplies and just played/camped/sweated my ass off. I will say, it does get a bit suspicious when someone's able to build an entire palace and seemingly never run out of materials; it also gets annoying whenever you get into a gunfight and it's like a fucking entire building just magically spawns around them instantly. I get the name of the game is FORTnite and building is a core mechanic, but it gets a bit ridiculous.

The collabs just feel weird to me as well; not really a fan of any of the artists that they've added to the game - only one I liked so far was Metallica, honestly - and it feels like Snoop's palace in particular is where all of the sweats tend to go. Either that, or the yacht.

It does feel like a decent end season compared to the others, though; Underground was kinda decent aside from the sniper and shotgun spam, Myths & Mortals was just mythic spamming everywhere, Wreaked had potential but was a complete let-down thanks to vehicle nerfs, and Absolute Doom... when they got rid of the jetpack, it got better, but I'm still not exactly a Marval fan, so...

Little miffed that I've missed every event in this Chapter, though; mostly work, though I never did the Metallica concert because Wreaked was just that shit that it killed the game for me completely. Still pissed I missed that one...

I do think the gunplay feels weird to me this season; ARs feel like they have some random spread, as I've aimed directly at a guy and missed every shot from the gun just going around them. Assault Shotguns also feel inconsistent, sometimes taking 1 shot to kill a guy, other times taking 3 and having a weird delay between the shots. Granted, my internet's not the best, but...

As I mentioned earlier, I do want to fully complete the battlepass this time around; outside of Underground, ironically, I don't think I've ever fully completed both the main pass and the bonus, so I'd like to make some actual progress. Anyone got tips?

Fun fact: I managed to reach level 200 in the last battle pass without playing a single battle royale match! I earned most of it by messing around in other modes, primarily random creative maps and some grinding in Save the World. Take some time to explore different modes and see what catches your interest; I’ve found that “tycoon” creative maps tend to be pretty generous with XP if you’re willing to be patient. Most of them are essentially recreations of idle clicker games.

If you’re good at rhythm games, the recent changes to Festival now let you earn XP just by playing songs, with more XP for high scores. Yesterday, I leveled up 10 times in the battle pass by playing about 25 minutes of music on Expert difficulty and completing some featured challenges. Pro tip: pay attention to the daily challenges. If you complete them all, leave the game and new random challenges will appear.

As a minority Latinx who went to a public school, you were drilled by kids and students to NEVER do this as this was how you get your ass beat or even shot.

Look forward to 10 year old White boys doing this in broad daylight

As someone who's dealt with kids unironically talking about "people/things from Fortnite" IRL, this is very likely going to result in some... interesting moments.

i bet it will just be seen as a cute thing, if you're old enough to have done the crip walk or know what it is chances are you have a kid old enough for fortnite anyways, its like how eminiem does songs for kids films now and is hanging out with the minions.

Based. I can't wait to see Fortnite zoomers catch a hot slug to the temple.

I'd like to think that I'm a pretty moderate and even tempered member of the forum, but it'd be really nice if we could eradicate that particular culture from the planet. Imagine shooting someone over a gay dance.

I too believe we should kill violent niggers in an effort to protect the rest of society.

Wait, that is what you were wanting, right?

I'm honestly fascinated by how mainstream gang culture has become considering how it was treated in the 90s and early 00s. I can't decide between putting on my tinfoil hat or just lamenting how cucked of a coal burner society we have become.

modern gang culture has moved pretty far beyond this, I don't think anyone takes the blood and crip shit seriously nowadays outside of maybe some deepnegro territory area, the new shit is drill rapper beefs.

Maybe you went to school around late 00s
