Trying to diagnose Nick is pointless as you don't actually know when he knowingly lies vs when he is just being his retarded self.
Like the video. He obviously told his lawyer to make that argument, as Nick himself obsessed over it on X and still mentioned it in his latest video.
That's despite the Judge clearly saying in his ruling it didn't matter if the cop viewed a copy of it.
So at that stage you need to ask yourself if Nick knowingly lies about that vs he really thinks that is a winning argument.
The same with Aaron's revenge pron case. Does he really think the prosecutor has Aaron cold on the felony? Or does he just say it knowing the case is flimsy as fuck?
Then you have Nick discovering the word nerd in the same days he wrote to someone saying how he talked to male dancers about anime and cooking. Does he really think he is a chad alpha? Or does he knowingly lie.
Nick uses the most extreme definition of addict to justify why he wasn't an addict as the most extreme definition is something like "Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you."
Nick claims he had control, stopped when told to and therefore he was never an addict.
Yet very few sources will say it is never a choice, but rather it becomes harder and harder to say no. Every addict that stopped, or didn't get that far to begin with, asserted will power at some point. Nick used drugs and drank until the cops busted down the door and likes to pretend all was fine. He has directly said he is going to drink again when he can.
It's hard to pullout addict behaviour vs being a lying dipshit.
Like how he said in one video he spends his day going over legal theory of his case and after the omnibus hearing was gloating about his legal strategy and how he himself had won a Frank's hearing in front of that judge before. He hadn't.
His latest arc is he hired a lawyer and doesn't tell him what to do. Which is true I have no idea. Why he says contradictory things in writing and on video I have no idea.
You have 3 things at play.
1. Drug and alcohol abuse and related behaviour changes.
2. Nick's natural personality.
3. Nick actually trying to salvage his career and family reputation, thus lying purely for that.
Knowing how these are all interacting and which dominates each instance isn't possible to say.
