I think so but he's as committed to the bit as Chantal's former live-in gimp Peetz was to being trans; that is to say it was pure lip service. He has abandoned pretty much every other endeavor literally immediately. This seems to be the one thing he's really stuck with and consistently worked at. He's not bright, but I really figured if he keeps at it, he'll get there.

Learning languages is HARD so I won't judge the speed at which someone learns. but like, he's going online to ask people for one on one help in just constructing sentences? What on earth has he been doing this entire time?

You're making the mistake of taking Adam at his word. What has he actually shown of his progress? All I can think of is that one unbearably cringe interview on Japanese TV (which he completely fucked up).

I think I remember a couple other posts where he complains about certain characters being confusing, but other than that I'm not aware of any demonstration of him actually applying what he claims to have been learning.

And when he does try to go through with something once in a blue moon he has to take shortcuts i.e. the begging for others to do the work for him like here or straight up cheating like in his speedrunning endeavors.

Hell, fucker can’t even be arsed to maintain his room cleaning without bragging about the ‘herculean’ effort of doing so on social media.

He lives for the dopamine of announcements and chasing thots and minors. Anything else is foreign to him.
