Should that serial stalker Dave Rivera get his own Kiwi Farms thread? He just stalks EVERYWHERE whenever there's criticism from YouTubers, like he jacks off to wokeness.

So is it a success or a failure? Not Concordlevelesque I guess but not exactly covering the bill huh?

Very hyberbole but the game definitly is gonna be a massive commercial flop if the owner numbers on steamdb are somewhat accurate and nowhere near covering costs of development even if you double or triple it for sales on consoles

I think what needs to be considered in this judgement is
-budget for game VS sales
-how many players got it for free
-this is a series with massive name recognition, which should elevate expectations
-MANY trannies / tranny lovers supported this in droves BECAUSE it is "inclusive", and rabidly defend it / review it well BECAUSE of this. These people are a very vocal minority, but have SOME buying power / review power
-No DLC being worked on

This all taken, baulders gate 3 was hated for very similar reasons, but had huge sales, partially because even the people who hate woke shit BEGRUDGINGLY liked it because mechanically it was great. And it had a 10x higher player peak.

So its a failure, but nowhere near on concord tier, concord was some Chernobyl level failure. I think to a certain extent concord is being used as a shield, like if rekieta made fun of chris chan saying "PHEW! at least im not like him", which is only half true.

God damn, they even managed to fuck the suicide mission. You can't just do the majority of character quests and be done with it, you need to nearly 100% the game, including a bullshit binary choice in the middle of the game and locks you out of the best ending. Even fucking JRPGs have long learned that missable true endings are absolute bullshit that just hurt the experience.

And let's us not forget, as good as the original suicide mission was, it absolutely ruined the entire plot of 3 as every character that could have died in it was unusable for 3, leading to the entire game being pointless.

I have a feeling that Dragon Age doesn't need to worry about sequel consequences anymore.

This is quite possibly one of the only times I have genuinely been puzzled by a review. But if this is a real person, really reviewing the game, and the first thing they mention is "they like that it's not an MMO", we are NGMI

It's a failure:

Their Monday peak was 15.3% below their Friday peak (Friday peak was 77465, Monday peak was 65639). That is a really bad sign.

If Concord was Chernobyl, Veilguard is Three Mile Island.

But, I can give one small plus to Veilguard, it has the best hair physics I have ever seen in a game. If everyone else can implement this technology, it would be for the better.

I want some hard data, VG insights has numbers. Going over Bioware's last 4 games:

Veilguard:

Mass Effect Legendary Edition:

Mass Effect Andromeda:

Dragon Age Inquisition:

Right now I'd say Veilguard is better than Andromeda but less that Inquisition in terms of copies sold. There's also that median playtime, 5, 11 and 13 hours where as Veilguard only has 3.

what did you expect? the dead teammates to ressurect? the suicide mission in ME2 was great, it made the decisions you made so far in the game actually matter instead of only being important in the mission you make the decision.

Doing the mission in the sequel. As it stands you spend the entire game making a dream team to fight the reapers, some with their own unresolved plot threads, only to make them unusable when you actually need to face the reaper invasion.
