Welp, I voted today not exactly early voting, but city hall was pretty busy with voters. So, I'm wondering about two scenarios I've had in my head for a few days now.
1. The establishment dems let Kopmala lose so she can be swept away into obscurity and run a much stronger candidate next time. Be that Newsom or Shapiro or some other as of yet unknown.
2. The establishment cheats but does so so blatantly that they can use Harris as a scapegoat and then get her outta of there and into jail or somewhere far, far away from politics. They let Trump win and do the same as scenario 1.
Anyways I'm still cautiously optimistic like I was in 2016 so here's to hoping Trump wins.

Also lol this guy got on the ballot in Utah I got a chuckle out of it.

Cleveland was a neat President, even outside of the whole non-consecutive terms thing. He was the only Democrat President to be elected in the more than 50 years from 1860-1912, though Tilden got close.
Even though I don't agree with the Democrat partisan platform of his time (anti-Silver, anti-tariffs, anti-imperialism, etc.) I still have a lot of respect for Cleveland since he was generally both moderate and principled. He would veto fucking constantly (the only President to veto more than him was FDR, who had twice as many terms) because he had a hatred for Government overreach and would immediately veto anything that would grant the Government too much power or was written in such a way that there was a loophole to take advantage of.
I've also made it no secret in past posts that I have a vehement hatred for Presidents who supported slavery and Jim Crow, and while Cleveland supported the latter, I can't be too mad with him as there wasn't anything he could really do about it. On a personal level, he was progressive in his relationship with Blacks even for Republican standards of the time.

Oh, he also had a smoking hot wife who was less than half his age, which gets mentioned a lot in History books. Youngest First Lady ever, at only 21 years old, while he was 49. She was the daughter of his deceased friend, and Cleveland became the executor of his estate when she was only 11, though he had known her since she was an infant. The American Hikaru Genji.
Is Trump the reincarnation of Cleveland?

I don't want to be a doomer, but no other man, not even Vance, would survive the carnage that has been going on against Trump. Not only because Trump is strong-willed but because he has fuck you money. I don't think Vance could run against a Dem plant and win if Trump loses this time around.
That's the thing. I know we won't get another victory, with the kind of shennaniganry they have been trying to pull with using illegals and smear campaigns. I just wonder why they think it would be over. They were convinced that 2020 would be the end of it. Now it needs to be the ends of it, again?
