For the most part it seems the KC boys kinda milked Phil as much as they could and didn't get much out of it, there's practically only 4 entities keeping DSP afloat for his now combined goal of all revenue sources but views of $150 a stream, and he's very "frog boiling in a pot" about all of it at the moment. I'd like to see what happens when he fails to hit his "streak" goal, especially as a lot of it has been Kick gift subs by way of Perry, DarkSydePimp, Rend, and the retired Void. Even more interested what would happen if the ironic weens and restreamers/clip channels stop feeding the view count on his streams if he'd start to panic seeing 20-40 some odd people in stream and one or two chatters.

I'm surprised anyone even restreams him anymore or keeps up the effort. It doesn't look like anything interesting has happened at all in quite some time.

Like I know lots of similar lolcows to DSP had their channels die out, but DSP's actually died out ages ago. What's more curious is that less and less people actively talk about him anymore.

I would be really curious to see how many pages this thread gets nowadays vs 6 or 12 months ago and also how many people tweet about him compared to 6 or 12 months ago but I can't be fucked to even look. From a surface glance it looks like barely anyone even cares anymore.

I mean even the fact DSP reopened comments on his YouTube videos and doesn't seem to moderate them that heavily anymore seems to have meant people care even less. My understanding was that there were so many detractors because DSP banned so many people and locked down his comments and everything so heavily. The entire DSP detractor industry was basically the result of him not allowing people to comment and it seems like once he opened himself up to it again he's inadvertently acted to kill the huge amount of interest that was there previously?

He's definitely petered out his interest. The WWEC saga was probably his big draw for a while, the front facing begging with the behind da seens spending and lying about it finally dissolved into DSP just empty begging for anything he can get. You can usually tell what's going on in the DSP verse by seeing how much Memeology chimes in, it's been a bit of a content drought from him for a minute. With his slapfight with RTU over, him prospectively going back into turtle mode as none of his ventures outside the Snort Fort have born any fruit and the KC attention hasn't boosted him, he's seemingly done with the drama and I can totally see Wings just straight dodging DSP to kill the last interview DSP has planned. Funny to watch him blame everyone for his irrelevance today on the pahdcast. It's just panhandling and bad streaming ettiquette from here on out, till the next disaster hits and with his tips drying up and being converted to subs and superchats and a mystery illness with Khet I can see that being added to next year's schedule, if not a tax day panic.

I think him showing up on KC and all of that proved that he really has nothing interesting to say and if he has guests he doesn't make an interesting interviewer. There was probably some massive interest ages ago because he rarely left his comfort zone and all the WWEC mystery but it seems like its totally gone (at least it is for me. I have literally zero interest in watching him do anything with wings or anyone else)

I think half the reason he had mega whales was that they liked to donate to him to piss off the detractors. If interest from detractors is dying out, then its possible that those donations will also fade away too.

I kind of feel like him admitting to champions and venturing onto KC has removed all sense of mystery and interest about him. There's no more story to tell. The guy is a 100% proven liar so no one really cares anymore? Is my theory right? or has something else happened?

Like I used to check up on twitter accounts that followed him and also read this subforum quite a bit but my interest has totally died out since I think the documentary dropped + he admitted to lying about WWE + being on KC a few times + trying to rebrand himself as a "regular everyday streamer" with all the dumb shit he's put in his background.

edit: I'm looking through some twitter accounts that follow DSP now and it really looks like the number of likes/retweets and views are all down significantly. hard to tell because I don't have historical data, but looks like interest in him has fallen off a cliff recently.

Honestly I think this is true for some, but for me I feel like we got such a huge amount of nonsense inside a few weeks between the Null KC stream, "interviews" where he made a fool of himself/got shat on, and the doc/react to the doc that anything after that has done nothing for me. I can't even watch the highlight vids like snort burnell now it's like my gold dust receptors got blown out and now I can't get that high again. This thread is how I vaguely keep up with him now so big ups to everyone still talking about this retard.

Also, someone on here made a great point before that giving DSP more money only speeds up his inevitable 2nd bankruptcy and I feel like it's the same with the attention he got. I've never seen his views this bad. Asking for thousands to eat some gimmick fast food isn't really something that'll work long term either. I do look forward to the eventual separation of support avenues again though because his liquidiTy has fallen off big time and I want to see how he tries to sell it to his audience.

I think I said it before but KC kinda got DSP to do every last ditch effort thing I figured he might try as his attention drained in a short amount of time. I don't think it was a good idea to try branch out so desperately and transparently grasp at relevance. Going from "everybody likes me now" and trying to collab with Maximillian Dood and MoistCritikal to streaming to sub 200 people in weeks is just perfect. I think he killed off tons of interest in him doing what he did. His only hope to grow at all was leaning into being a lolcow but all he did was make himself more boring thinking he reclaimed being a "normal" content creator. His content sucks and he is unable to engage in drama in any kind of entertaining way unless it is relevant to him. He's hopeless and a dumber fuck than I even thought.

I tried to watch one of his streams post kino casino. I know little of the dude other than what I've seen elsewhere and went in with pretty much a blank slate. I lasted around 15 minutes.
He talks, pretty nasally and boringly, asks for money, etc. I didn't even make it to the games.
I don't hate the guy or anything I just have no desire to watch his streams. I'll just got watch any number of game streamers on twitch. Not on youtube because trying to browse youtube's streams are a massive ballache and the game streams on Kick suck. They're all fortnite, cod, etc or gambling or titty streamers or a mix thereof.

From what I have seen of him recently, he is actually handling himself pretty well given the circumstances. I don't know many bankrupt dudes who jerked off on camera who are able to make a coherent point.

Listening to him, as someone who does not know him, he sounds reasonable enough. He is kind of pathetic in some ways, but if we're honest with ourselves, he is on the high end of the pathetic spectrum. High functioning I would say.

I am not saying he is not unwatchable btw.

It's always a little hard to say with Phil, but I think we're definitely in a slower point. But I also think it feels especially slow because there was a weird flurry of Phil activity, including some big hits like admitting to Champions, Joon's documentary dropping and the most unpredictable of all, Phil being social.

Phil has more or less fallen back into his usual routine, which was normally pretty boring, especially for autists like us who have been following Phil for years, but it must appear doubly boring for everyone that was used to the "excitement" from the previous arcs. I also think there's some burnout after the Champions reveal. While I don't think this really applies to anyone here, I think some closer to the dentractor sphere had envisioned some grand confessional scene where Phil would admit to playing Champions and his audience would snap and turn on him and it'd be like watching the crowds tear down Saddam's statue instead of being met with total apathy because even the dents knew for years about Phil's addiction.

There was also the drama here with tourists. While it didn't last that long in the grand scheme of things, it definitely soured a lot of people on Phil. I always compare following Phil to watching a guilty pleasure reality TV show. The tourists were like if you had to watch that show with unskippable ads tossed into the mix, the quality is just so low that it isn't worth enduring even a minor inconvenience to keep following it.

I hope I'm wrong and he does completely fade away, but I think in typical Phil fashion, he'll stumble into a new arc that will renew interest. I don't think it'll be this year, unless he goes on some sort of drunken Christmas tirade or something. If I had to guess, he might actually try to get DSPolitics off the ground and that'll generate some new interest and funny quote mining before everyone realizes it's just his pre-stream around episode 3 or 4 and then we'll be back to a quiet lull.

Dude literally the whole time I followed DSP and was the moderator of this subforum and made literally thousands of posts here and investigated Norweigan butlers in Naruto cosplaying outfits smoking weed, leaked DMs, horsefuckers, sock accounts on his ghost town forums and a fucking Dutch catfishing empire... I barely ever watched more than a few minutes of his gaming.

Basically the only entertainment about DSP in the first place was his hour long pre-streams. He was supposed to be a gayming streamer but he insisted on making his pre-streams longer and longer to the point that they became the main/sole source of entertainment. Generally speaking his views would always drop as soon as his pre-stream finished because no one else gave a shit about his gaming.

Besides that all he's really ever done for he past decade when it comes to gaming is basically do replays of games like Bully, GTA: San Andreas, Sonic, [insert some other shitty game he's played 10 times before] and minecraft like 12 times a year and also ocassionally some new or old gay street fighter game where he spergs out and breaks his controller.

Watching DSP is all about knowing the lore so you can catch him in the non-stop lies and getting engaged with the detractor community like Raw Phil, That Being Said/WPIG, Detractorbeam, etc. There's also realizing that a group of disabled, sociallity inept, or just lonely losers are throwing their entire paychecks/welfare at Phil and ending up literally homeless because of it. Phil's not a normal lolcow that you can just hop into a stream and laugh your ass off. If you want that, go watch bossmanjack or watch a drama show like Kino Casino or lolcowlive.

I always compared him to a scumbag preacher like a Peter Popoff or cult leader like Jim Jones and I'll expand a little on Jim Jones, see both he and Dave have a sizeable amount of recordings of their hustling and lets stick with Jim, all the stuff he did in Indiana and later San Francisco he was full on energetic and whipping all the basketball americans and trailer trash into believing him but you hear all the recordings of him in Guyana before the mass killing and he's like Phil now a bitter, angry, resentful drunk lashing out on everyone for not believing his lies with a cadre of his own flying monkeys just like Phil doing his bidding granted I don't think any of the sorry fucking retards who are in his private discord have the balls or braincells to both handle a semi auto rifle let alone kill congressman but they're in a similar position in Peoples Temple equivalent that is Phils chat privilege wise.

I threw my hat into the ring and tried watching his Baldur's gate walk-through - stating I got aids from the endeavour is putting it midly, the codling and hand holding, the constant "Where do i go guys", swore to myself never to watch gameplay again unless Pop was stream snipping him on street fighter.

At this point people are looking for the endgame stuff... divorce, super beg about health, 2nd bankruptcy, or just fading away slowly. Once the Kino stuff fizzles out, we might get one of those first things, but there's no boost coming. There's no market for mid-40s streamers to have a comeback. I (stupidly) was a subscriber in the 2010/2011 range and quickly ran from the emails from spammed 4-5 minute videos. He'd pop up in a search randomly but never stuck around long until last year, and he's the same person from back then, albeit more scat less sex.

I really don't think that YouTube or PayPal are that heavy handed with bans like they used to be in the past and any time he has been banned he always finds some alternative or gets unbanned a few days later.

Clearly kick.com isn't bringing him many viewers (but then again, he is simulcasting). I think you're right that there is no market for a streamer like him, the only market he ever had was because he operated things as a North Korean dictator and that made people very curious. Now that he has opened the borders (by revealing WWEC account and also allowing twitter replies and youtube comments) no one gives a fuck anymore.

I don't think a catastrophic event is gonna happen anytime soon, but if his income goes seriously lower then he may be in a spot of trouble. The only problem with that is that everyone knows he just spends tons of money frivolously so I don't think a black shirt begging stream would even carry that much weight anymore. I mean, even fucking Derich is gone lol.

The allure of DSP was that there was always something interesting and theatrical happening, but I just don't see it anymore. There used to be a consistent set of detractors keeping up to date with him and always an inflow of new detractors. But I don't think its happening anymore. The DTRH documentary always had people asking for a part 2 but I think Joon's documentary was far superior and at 4 hours long it pretty much paints DSP as a complete liar through and through. There's nothing more to add to it anymore. On top of that there are so many other "lolcows" online that are far more interesting than DSP compared to a few years ago.

If he can't drum up consistent drama that isn't reliant on other people (by this I mean making himself the drama) then I really think that less and less people will give a fuck about him going forward.

I have no idea in what world anyone would care about him doing a stream with wings of redemption. They're both boring as fuck.

Less drama > less people talking about DSP > less viewers > less tips and subs = less detractors

I think that the cycle is finally fucking broken.
