Apropos of nothing, I wish we had more reliable information on Phil's childhood. We know something of his teenage years, but it sounds like the way his childhood played out is murky. When I compare him to Chris-Chan, I think of how Chris lied a lot, but his problem was often that he shared too much and over time trolls managed to gain a pretty complete picture of his life and why he turned out the way he did. And since most of what we do know comes from Phil, there's always the question of how accurate any of it is.
People have managed to dig up some details on his parents, but it sounds like we don't know much about what they're actually like as people. Earlier in the year, Phil said that he used to walk his toes, a trait sometimes found in people with autism. People speculated whether his parents never had him diagnosed because autism wasn't as recognized back then or if they were genuinely that oblivious. We know that his cousin moved in with them while she was recovering from a drug addiction. People wonder how this change in the dynamic of the Burnell household affected Phil, but Phil himself hasn't said much about her.
I think of how much of himself Phil has put out there and how much he likes to rant about any perceived injustice against him and it makes me think "You talk so much, yet you say so little".
