The economy, regulation, taxes, foreign policy, alliances and agreements coming up due, military entanglements in a dozen different countries, the constant undermining from within "his" party and the permanent beaurocracy he is trying to direct. I could go on and if you were honest you could add a dozen additional categories.

Think about this site, the dozens of things you're trying to get done. The forum software, the ability to fund, the status of the servers, the turnover in moderators. That's not everything and they're all at different states of priority and ability to act. Maybe, here's a crazy thought, if we want people to think voting isn't completely inconsequential and unrelated to real life, we should put our heads together and come up with some actual reforms and checking procedures anyone can use to encourage more people to kick the tires and make sure it's as real as we claim it is.

This is exactly the problem with both the political parties in our country: whenever there's a valid criticism, they can't say "hey, you know what, valid point, let's make sure our law puts in provisions to address this criticism so that the problems you foresee are less likely." Nothing really to add, just wanted to quote for this being one of the best, most mature responses to the idea that people may not vote. Voter turnout in the US is generally pathetic because of how much of the population are disenfranchised and, especially with the under 50 crowd, they feel like everything is already a lost cause.

Null hasn't liked Trump ever since he threatened to nuke section 230 of the Communications Decency Act on his way out of office in early 2021. That's why we have a lolcow thread on Trump despite the usual "no politicians" rule.
