Man, I was going to try and lurk US Politics General just to have the lowdown on what's happening at any given moment, but the thread's pace is blisteringly fast and it's hard to read a page without reloading to find another 5 demanding your attention.

I'll just camp out here. Hopefully you lot are more sane, anyways, especially with how low the bar is. Be sure to post the important bits so that the political casuals don't need to rot their brains in A&N lmao.

To contribute a bit instead of just asking others to,

• Easy way to track exacts of voting. Live update so there's no point archiving.
  • Polls will be closing from 8pm/20:00 EST until 1am/01:00 EST. Before then, if I've got it right, there shouldn't be much happening at all.
    • Unfortunately, because this country is retarded, we might not have the actual FINAL count until Friday+ if I understand. If the race is a landslide it should be done today, but given the Dems' behavior last cycle and a statement from Nevada (that I can't find right now, apologies) this could go on for weeks.
  • One city in New Hampshire voted super early due to reasons, but it doesn't matter because it split its 6 votes evenly between both candidates. Don't expect many votes before the evening just due to them.
  • REMEMBER: THE PEOPLE DON'T CHOOSE THE PRESIDENT. The president is chosen by the Electoral College, and the result is only made official in JANUARY.
    • If there's a tie, the House will pick the President while the Senate will pick the VP. The population remains uninvolved.
• Aggregator of political news that supposedly shows bias. Shilled by YouTubers so I don't trust its quality, but it's better than trying to sort this kind of stuff out yourself and it's a lot less annoying than trying to use a biased search engine or manually having 5+ papers open at a time, so if you want to browse articles try this.
