When I was coming back home, I've seen an older man in a black MAGA hat.

Where I moved to is considerably less urban and leftist, than where I used to live. So I can see people safely walking around with MAGA caps (when I see people, that is). A person can't freely wear a MAGA cap in a "woke" craphole like San Francisco or Portland.
