Jim Sterling / James "Stephanie" Sterling / James Stanton/Sexton & in memoriam TotalBiscuit (John Bain) - One Gaming Lolcow Thread

I would kill to see his reaction if someone did that in an interview right in front of him.

"And here we have Jim Stephanie Sterling, a once well known Youtube content creator and games critic."
That'd require someone to actually spend their time interviewing him though

The real horror here is that fucking fringe
8 grand a month and he can't be bothered to go to a salon and get a proper haircut. Probably afraid he'd get misgendered and be too autistic to know how to deal with it.
He'd laugh a lot with the joke in the moment but as soon as the cameras stopped rolling he'd be seething.
And then hop on Twitter later to dox the sinner and ruin their life.

In other news, I discovered recently when I was trying to tidy up my hard drive that I still have my GamerGate folder, (to my eternal shame,) but near the top I found these old screenshots.

It was a lovely little throwback and reminder that Jim was always been a craven faggot even before he decided to start wearing dresses. I included the reply guy too because I found it quite funny since it accidentally implies being trans is a fantasy in a round about way.

hahahahahah, oh shit.

It might amuse you to know your reply guy there is a destitute furry who's had no job in like 20 years, is ridiculously unhealthy and lives in someone's garage outside'a Chicago.

How do I know this? Well. He's on Anthrocon's board of directors. He's on the far left of the banner image.

That is both deeply interesting and the least surprising thing I have ever been told.

P.S. for the benefit of anyone who doesn't want to go to a furry website (he looks exactly like you were expecting):

I can't quite pin it down but it kind of looks like he had some birth defect that caused his head to grow misshapen.

Except for the fact that there were no troons during the medieval period. These idiots don't know history.

Nah I'm sure there was some alchemist boiling plastic bags even back then plus it was before the invention of deodorant so the axe wound mtf vagina stench was probably easier to explain

I kidna wish TB was alive so he could watch Trump win again and cope and seethe straight to the grave.
Funny how all those names that were in orbit around TB all dropped off as soon as he passed, but yes I still feel the wrong one died, we would be having more fun with TB than Jim, as the frankly pathetic husk that parades around filled with Mail order hormones and a hat that looks like Chris chans unclit somehow looks tragic and there is not stinging rebuke that jim could say that doesn't fall flat.

To be fair there were no dragons or necromancers either. I get the point he's trying to make, but Jim and other consoomers don't seem to understand how stupid it looks putting Current Year writing into series set in the distant future or completely fictional worlds. It was the same with Dustborn: I understand what they were trying to do, but it was so ham-fisted in its execution it became a parody of itself.

I really don't think nearly as many people would be clowning on Veilguard's trans representation if it actually leveraged the in-world terminology the games have established for genderfreaks, instead it's a completely unambiguous 1:1 author self-insert conversation and people like Jim and LKD don't care because hecking representation is all that matters y'all [finger snaps].

At this point I fully expect the next Star Wars or Marvel disaster to unironically have characters saying 'W skibidi rizz em up', there's that little self-awareness left.

One thing that surprisingly I haven't seen brought up in the current Dragon Age discourse is that they've already included a trans character and nobody really cared. Sure there were a few complaints, and I remember a little discourse, but it wasn't a huge thing. The game brought up that Krem was trans but didn't drag the point out or beat you in the face with it. He was just there, and he was a decent enough character too. I don't think most people care if they have trans characters if they don't handle it... well, like they appear to have done with Veilguard.

Nobody gave a shit about Cyberpunk having a trans side character and letting you play as a trans person if you wanted to. That only got complaints from the sort of people Veilguard is trying to appeal to. Because they are morons.

Bingo, players don't like insufferable fucks. And if writers insist "Trans people are insufferable fucks" then I'm gonna hate trans people on the basis of being insufferable fucks. Simple as.

I will repeat this in the next round up for reviews with new numbers, but this is currently relevant, if I have time I might even do a Review Review since it ties into a Jimquisition:

Dragon Age: The Veilguard [ARCHIVE], Jim gave it a 7.5/10. Metascore is 83, User Score is 3.8, and Steam All Reviews is 73%. Funnily enough not long ago the User Scores were much higher. There was some initial anti-review bombing inflating the scores and now it is swinging the other direction as people actually play the game. I also have heard that there's some aggressive censorship happening on Steam, but I can't confirm it myself.

Now I am going to point out two things in his review:
A good thing Jim did said:
OMG Bias Note: Laura Kate Dale, friend & colleague, consulted on this game
Don't be snarky about having basic ethics Jim. This is something that tells people whether or not you might be pulling punches or not and only protects you from losing even more of your income as well as helps people adjust their expectations before they spend the money they work for, something I know you're unfamiliar with doing for video games without a tax write-off. We get that you are one of the most privileged people alive, but that doesn't mean your customers are you fat pathetic ugly man, and I call you a man because I lack any and all respect for you.
Jim's Dumb Review said:
The fact you can make it very gender is a huge positive, especially since the only people claiming it’s “forced” on you are lying through their stupid teeth. It’s there to help more players feel seen, and that’s only a good thing.
Power level and nuance warning. Retards who can't form a more complicated thought than "thing I like good, thing I don't bad" move on. Also let's not derail this thread over our individual politics and beliefs. If you want to call me a faggot and argue politics please do so by quoting me in a more appropriate thread in Autistic Thunderdome. Let's keep this on topic. I don't even like this warning. I am doing it to save the jannies needing to clean up our shit later. Too many thread derailing newfags on the forums lately.

I'm a non-binary bisexual. I watched a full playthrough of this game just to see how bad it was. All the gender shit in this game? It was forced. I did not feel "seen". I did not feel "represented". I felt insulted, much like when your degenerate ass walks around talking about your tits while hiding behind non-binary labels to indulge in a public fetish. I felt embarrassed since I know the public is just going to associate people like me who work, contribute, and put in the effort to be considerate of other people and be a productive member of society with that shit.

If you cared about LGBTQ+ people and how they feel you wouldn't be sparing this game on its intent or because your friend worked on it. You'd be damning it on the execution while going "at least they tried, but they need to do better". This shit is more forced than the sexual assaults I am still confident you performed on your old editor. Fuck you Jim, and fuck anyone who defends this type of shit. Despite what site I am on I do actually want good representation in games. In places where it fits, in stories which are mature and respectful enough to do so, from characters who are not mentally ill parodies that feel like false flag attacks. Dragon Age is not the franchise for such things. The people who consulted and worked on this project were not equipped to handle these topics. What they were trying to do, yes, I do agree it was "only a good thing", but the execution and place they did it? Only a bad thing.

Maybe instead of infecting franchises with this bullshit that don't traditional have it and don't have a basis for such (unlike something like Baldur's Gate which actually was weird for not having it back in the day considering Forgotten Realms is Ed Greenwoods degenerate Magical Realm and has been since inception, seriously that man is obsessed with girl cock and bisexuality) you should build you own settings with this stuff from the start. Actually maybe ask the hard societal questions about how a culture with these things as the norm would function and behave. Consider how the magic/super-tech of fantastic settings would affect these topics. Put in the work. I love Dragon Age, but for me I am glad it died with Inquisition, because at least I didn't need to feel like the corpse of something I enjoyed in my youth was being violated with girl cock and stink ditches. Really though, let's be honest, BioWare still can't handle a natural feeling homosexual relationship and that shit is actually easier to tackle than gender and identity issues so they shouldn't have even tried. Seriously, if you can't handle LGB, you aren't even remotely ready to handle QT+, unless theoretically if you were writing purely from personal experience and your entire writing team was QT+.

Yeah that's what I was getting at, I just don't know enough about Dragon Age because I don't like the fantasy genre. This is the problem with the modern, DEI version of 'representation': it's not enough that these characters exist, they have take center stage and use every opportunity to make the conversation about their being different.

If, God forbid, I was a genderspecial I would be embarrassed by Veilguard because it does nothing but play up the stereotype that troons are obnoxious crybullies who make everyone around them uncomfortable.
[From Jim's review] It’s there to help more players feel seen, and that’s only a good thing.
This is exactly what I'm talking about in regards to modern representation. Who gives a fuck if you feel 'seen', as a player? This constant demand for validation in every product you consoom is extremely unhealthy.

The constant need for validation is a sign of insecurity; if a tranny actually was being his "authentic self" he wouldn't need other people to tell it to him. Its a sexual/escapist fantasy for perverts, guys who feel like they can't cut it as men and, saddest of all: insecure teens trying to find their way in the world that got groomed by love bombing freaks on discord. This is why every tranny needs the validation, the tranny (unconsciously) knows he will never be a real woman but validation helps reinforce the delusion and keep him from facing the reality he's trying to run from.
