Actually, i prefer silent MC before voiced ones.
At least Hawke got variatons in personality. Inquisitor doesn't have any.

I totally agree. Silent protagonists are the best. Give me a list of specific things that I want to say and let me choose from there, so I can specifically say the thing that I wanted to say. Not this vague, dialogue wheel, 'diplomacy, humorous, violent' bullshit, where the dialogue wheel suggests that I'll say one thing, and I select it, only for the voice actor to say something completely fucking different.

And even those dialogue wheels where better done than the shit Bethesda shat out in Fallout 4 where you get three flavors of yes, with one just amounting to saying you will say yes later, and an option literally just named sarcasm.

True.
Even in DA2/DA: I you can reject side quests.
Not in FO4.

Inquisition already followed through on the three possible variations of God baby fairly well so I don't see why it would have been impossible to simply have had God baby unlock a new ending in Veilguard or a secret boss or something at the very least.
True, but I don’t see how the storyline could have been explored in a meaningful way, because the implications were just too large. For what it's worth, I think Inquisition handled it well enough.

I thought Cass physically shows up in game?

I had not realized that several years back both Alistair and Zevran's actors confirmed they weren't going to be in the game.

Claudia Black had the hardest job, she had to act oblivious until Morrigan was officially revealed. I'd say she has the best performance in the game. But then it is to be expected.
The first time you see her in Origins was absolutely epic. "Well, well what have we here"

It's a bit more than that. As soon as she enters she has the cutscene focused on her and only after her asking does the Warden get to answer to a question back. She moves to level footing, drops a "Handsome Lad" and then you exchange names. You're feeling each other out, wary but also curious about each other. She also has different dialog if you're a female Warden, seeing you as the more rational of the group.

This is what it's like to have a character introduced without a Marvel style trailer and quality writing that leaves her mysterious yet beckoning as a future party member.
This is what Dragon Age lost with Tarsh.

No they won't. They will pour their resentment into Mass Effect 5 and rewrite the story into defeating the bad orange alien monster menace who grabs human pussies.

We'll have Red, Blue, Green and now an Orange ending, where you side with the reapers and help them put all the aliens in camps.

por que no los quatro?
really, it's more like five
that one elf girl you can cuck a simp for, the one in the beginning, morrigan's easy as fuck early romance, cucking her with Leliana, marrying the queen, keeping hardened Leliana as a side piece, and then fucking Morrigan again to get her preggers
i was spoiled on that last plot point ages ago and an anon so kindly informed me that this was possible, and i just have to do it
Play as a male Dwarf noble and you can father two children: one in the origins story when you can have a threesome with two noble hunting female dwarves and then later with Morrigan. Never say Dwarves can't get some though according to the lore Dwarves apparently have low fertility which leads to the acceptance of "noble hunting" by female Dwarves from lower castes

It's remarkable how bad a lot of modern writing really is, and it's not just video games that suffer... In fact, I actually went back and replayed Soul Reaver 1+2 during October, and it was impressive just how good the writing and voice acting still is, especially for a game made 20+ years ago.

Soul Reaver is one of the few pieces which, despite being overly self-indulgent and borderline pretentious, somehow still works.

The contrast to Uncharted, which is everything Soul Reaver wasn't, shows that Hennig was deliberate in her writing and not just trying to overcompensate her inexperience.
I'm still wondering what her role in Forspoken was.

Odd that Leliana doesn't appear either. At least from what I've seen. Since she's so crucial to the franchise you'd expect a cameo from her but no dice.

I was just thinking, remember the dwarf father and son from DA:O? Forget the names i think Yuri Lowenthal was the son? There were obvious hints he wasn't quite all there and in the climax I think you see him in a room with a bunch of dead darkspawn? They never followed up on that did they

Oh the enchantment boy? The one who is seemingly mentally stunted but also can somehow wield magic. Yeah that story was never fully finished. I only know one scene where I think Hawke tries to safe him only to find him standing there in front of a frozen Darkspawn Ogre and when Hawke ask how he did it he only says "Not enchantment!"

ENCHANTMENT!

All jokes aside they never explained it and repeated the scene in 2 with them, I don't remember if Inquisition did it too.

It's probably because the voice acting is fucking phenomenal, along with the music and art design. The guys voicing Kain and Raziel absolutely kill it, and Tony Jay as the Elder God? Fuck yeah!

Not to mention how technically impressive Soul Reaver 1 was at the time -- real-time environment morphing on the PS1 (complete with level geometry changes)? It blew a lot of minds when people saw that.

Remember the boy that from the sky inside of a meteor? They never followed up on that, either. I think both Sandal and him were meant to be just little tongue-in-cheek things that did not require elaboration because they were essentially jokes.

However, the idea of an actual dwarf mage would have some interesting implications.

I had the same thoughts back before the game came out and was kind of disappointed she wasn’t it in. However now seeing the state of it I’m glad she didn’t make the cut. It is weird though this is the only game she doesn’t show up in

In Inquisition I think there was a vague reference to him in the codex or something but he never actually shows up and they don’t go into it at all.

According to Wikipedia at least, she just concepted out the story. Which I can definitely see working, it was the actual writing that was the shotgun to the head.
