Admittedly I only half paid attention to this while it played. I heard the smoke alarm beep. Was there something else?

I've seen people complain about Admin's recent videos about movies for some reason. No idea why, since he's only done a few, but I guess some people expect all his videos to be him larping on the range and talking about a gun or some piece of kit. I liked his movie focused videos quite a bit. In fact, they're some of the best videos he's made, because you can tell he genuinely really likes the movies he's covered and enjoyed making the videos.

Some notable observations with the larger guntube content creators is that quite often for metrics and analytics an intro often hooks the audience into it. At the same time it's time consuming and extremely draining to pull off with an extremely limited camera crew and production value, which could cut into informative content.

They're not informative. He doesn't say much that you don't get from a movie, a recap or a Wiki read.
I don't expect him to: he's a gun guy and not a filmmaker so his capability for insight is limited but others might.
Personally these remind me of times when my chatty friend watches a movie he really liked, which is endearing to me personally, but also Admin's not my friend.

The trick is in your subscriber notification settings, manually disabling them makes YouTube artificially boost your reach.

I was recommended admin back when he was still called executive outcomes, I think the big reason why he took off was because Garand thumb and Brandon Hererra were the two "big boys" at the time when it came to gun content that actually tried to be at least somewhat informational.
Admin was able to combine the cinematography of GT with the zoomer tendencies of Brandon. It's honestly not surprising to see him take off the way he did, IMO.
