Me, I love my dumbass sense of humor.
My favorite comedy movie is Jackass 2.
I love farts.
If the "Ass" movie from Idiocracy existed I'd watch it multiple times in theaters.
And I consistently walk around my apartment playing various dumbass characters like:
bad marketing guy, cholo rapper that's insecure about his sexuality, or angry asian convenience store owner.

So what about you, do you prefer stupid shit or more smart and thought out comedies?

Depends on my mood I guess, sometimes the stupidest things/jokes can make me laugh.

One of my favourite comedians is Bill Burr, what would that be considered as? In the middle? I'm also beginning to appreciate the humor in certain cartoons, such as The Simpsons (I'm going to rewatch them after a bit more than a decade), which can be dumb, but also has a lot of criticism on society and stereotypes, etc, so I guess it can be a bit more sophisticated than some people give them credit for.

For "super-high brow" humor though, I'd probably prefer it in Spanish.

The issue with high brow humor is that it is usually topical and ages poorly. While farting and falling and weird absurd stuff and saying NIGGGEERRR isn't as funny as a well thought out joke, it certainly ages better, is easier to come up with, and is more universal overall.

If it makes me laugh, I don’t care if it’s considered high brow or not. Don Quixote and the works of people like Voltaire and H.L Mencken can make me laugh. I’m 40 and I still find fart jokes funny as well.

Yes, because no one has ever acted out characters before Nick Mullen, it's not like people can just do things because they think it's funny, it has to be an imitation of others. It has to be that I'm mimicking another person, and not that, just maybe, I happen to find certain character traits funny. You are just as retarded as you think I am.

A long long time ago when I tried my hand at doing stand-up comedy I put together an act and wrote a script and put a lot of work into it. People I did it for said it was funny and good.

When I performed it I got some laughs. But then a guy came on and was all like, "Farts come out of butts!" and the audience went wild. People were telling him how hilarious he was.

That's when I decided that doing comedy wasn't worth all the effort and thought when someone can just talk about farts and people think it's genius.
