It will be interesting to see because there's now one BIGLY difference. Trump is gone in 4 years. They don't need to lecture people to not vote for Trump anymore. Even if Hollywood is still all, "Trump bad, supporters garbage." It'll have a different tone and my gut is it will be one that will land even worse.

Government ID, the way it is in Bad Batch. Which, again, is not a bad idea. We have that in our world. It's the equivalent of a passport or a State ID.

If Palpatine ran for office, he'd be the kind of guy who'd run a third party, crush both Kamala and Trump, but he'd be such a sweet-talker that both parties would happily concede and endorse him after the election, in exchange for positions of power under him.

Notice how the Senate floor had near-universal praise for Palpatine when he was made Emperor. That's the equivalent of multiple political parties clapping like seals because they believed Palpatine would make the galaxy great again. Trump doesn't have that; he only has half the world clapping like seals and the other half whining like bitches.

Look man, if you look at the rather open (as they say, it is not a conspicacy theory, when there is nothing conspiratorial or theoretical about it anymore) attempts to pozzload Western media coming from the tribe that controls Blackrock, and most of Hollywood, and most of game industry, and conclude that it must actually be some nefarious scheme by yellow peril, then I don't know what to say.

In any case, Chinese media in some aspects are more degenerate than American. I rather doubt that a story revolving around a homosexual relationship can become an unironic mainstream hit even in today's US. What they don't have, at least for now, is cultural warriors and degenerates attempting to make media not made for them conform to their tastes. Which is only possible because they are explicitly backed by the Big Money (donations during the current election had confirmed for Nth time that the ultra-rich approve of the woke excesses), and most of the Big Money backing them just so happen to belong to the Big Nose.

And the current state of Star Wars confirms that even WITHOUT the poz, the modern American media complex is in deep crisis, and shambles along more by inertia. Sure, all of Disneywars is pozzed to various degree, but that's not responsible for things, like launching a new trilogy without a plot outline.

Ten Imperial Credits (the only TRUE galactic currency) says this shit never gets made because either Kin(((berg))) gets fired by Kathleen Kennedy or quits because Lucasfilm demands that every character is a nigger tranny. Not to sound like Doomcuck but Kennedy isn't going to be in charge of Lucasfilm forever. She's 71 and probably wants to retire. I would expect to hear she's retiring in 2026 after the Mando & Grogu movie comes out and at best breaks even.

Someone explained the reason shitty writers like him and Abrams's horsemen keep getting work is because they do as their told and incorporate all the executives' notes (like magic blood, which was huge in the early 2010s). Kinberg probably gets along with the bosses and kisses their asses.

Ya know if memory serves I remember hearing some scuttlebutt about why Kurtzman has kept his dictatorial control of the star trek franchise despite how much of a failure his prior projects have been and how hilariously unpopular and unwatched discovery/picard are even before you factor in how unfathomably shit and obnoxious they are every imaginable level.

The long and the short of it is he gets on really dang well not only with the producers and studios but he is straight up pleasant to work with and under so nobody involved in the production side of things is in any mood to complain, especially given how none of them actually care about product quality.

So long as the accounting department fudges the numbers enough to pretend they are doing well/due for megabux any second now there is precisely zero impulse from within to change anything, and nobody within gives two shits about how much people hate the end result or refuse to consoom since they know they can guarantee pozz reviews by giving toy bundles to manchild critics and ensuring the demographic checkboxes are all filled out to perfection.
