Mega Rad Gun Thread

, why would I trust them with GUN parts? Bear in mind, this country couldn't even make a functional AK copy for its own military.
I'm functionally retarded and have built plenty of guns. I try to only be racist for laughs here but how stupid can you be if you're entire county can't make an AK something a lot of us did at 18 before daddy let you touch the Miller 600 and you needed to rivet the bitch shut.

I barely trust the poos to make food that won't make me sick, why would I trust them with GUN parts? Bear in mind, this country couldn't even make a functional AK copy for its own military.
Going to be nitpicky here, making a functional AK is not any easier than making any other rifle. Frankly, harder than something like an AR these days.

I'll not shit post and agree and expand. This is indias first attempt at a home made industry rifle. They aren't fun makers by historical speaking. For obvious reasons lived off British surplus.

Now what this does say as really any factory or local smith can make AKs ARs etc all days from parts, I don't even mean parts kits.

It shows either government got in the way or corruption did big time. I personally lean to the latter but if you can mass produce something so simple with out your supply chain and or industry turning it into a shit show speaks a lot about their abilities to wage war as a solo nation.

Everyone has road bumps making a new industry in this case small arms. But the pajeet gun is an utter laughing stock. I mean it's like fucking up the wheel.

From everything else their subs etc it's all garbage. I'm actually not being racist etc I'm saying India is feeling out a home grown arms industry, and what is a worry is they are so big they won't look into or care about the flaws because balls rolling.

You'll have some big wig beurcrat who's never served a day read a paper on it say good enough and keep the problem alive.

As of now they can be king lolcow of guns making Kyber Pass look like Holland and Holland by comparison. It'll be interesting to see what future holds for them.

Anyone have suggestions for really good gun stores in Florida?
i always buy online, so whoever is closest to you and has the lowest transfer fee. some shops are a dick about transfers but most are cool, even better if you get a cool kitchen table ffl, my suppressor dealer was a super cool kitchen table dealer. (sorry to not answer your question)

what's the threads consensus on quality over quantity? (i like nice guns and have a few but i have a bunch of cheep ones and those are the ones that get the most use)

i just picked up a 300$ OU shotgun from psa (https://palmettostatearmory.com/g-force-filthy-pheasant-28-o-u-12ga-2rd-shotgun-gf5b1228.html)
it was really tight to start out but a bit of oil on the action and safety and it seems to have broke in pretty good.
hope to get a chance to go shoot some clays before thanksgiving.

Going to echo the above and say you should focus more on having purchases shipped to a nearby store and shelling out for the transfer fee rather than depending on the quality of their stock. Unless they have it on their shelf, of course, but it's funnier to buy it cheaper elsewhere and hear them bitch about that when it arrives(don't do this, some places will offer to match prices).
Bonus points if you can find an FFL holder nearby to bypass stepping into a gunshop entirely, they can be pretty cool too.

Cheap when necessitated, quality when appropriate.
Lots of us started by buying cheap shit and eventually stumbling into buying something good that makes us regret spending a bunch of money on a bunch of trash.

The cycle invariably goes
cheap cause poor>quality cause knowledge>cheap cause fun
You start buying cheapo because you don't know what you're doing. You buy some shitty stuff to learn on before getting to use something expensive.
You start spending more and buying less, since now you know what quality is. You round out your collection with some high spots.
Then you start buying cheap ass burner guns because they're fuckin' fun, and you no longer care if that really hot reload blows your turk12 up, it'll look real fuckin' cool.

Valgear reviews the AMD-65, and how to make one better than hot garbage:

Also, the hoodie lol :story:

The best thing that I could say about an old AK franken gun made with a smattering of AMD65 and Romy "G" parts is that the brake was loud as fuck. The folding stock was functional, I guess. It did not have the foregrip and handguard parts, but I didn't know shit about AK's other than "This one is cheap!" when I bought it.

When it fell apart the shop I bought it from took it in trade for a NIB Saiga 7.62.

Probably the best $400 I've ever spent on a gun (this was in '07, back when AK's were cheap, of course.)

It's interesting how so many people want to like the Stribog that there are multiple third party lowers for it, just so that people can avoid the terrible magazine it uses by default and use Scorpion or Glock mags instead. How many generations of Stribog mags have there been? 3? 4? You wouldn't think there'd be enough Stribog owners to make producing different lowers for it profitable, but there are at least a few companies doing it.

Did Grand Power or whoever really never solve the mag problem?

Theres 3rd gen mags now that look more like scorpion mags. I bought 2 but havent tried them yet. My SP9A3 runs great with a silencer. I just use the stock lower due to never having problems. The straight mags were pretty bad though.

Anyone have suggestions for really good gun stores in Florida?
I have ordered gun related stuff online from these guys. I actually wound up returning it and they were professional and fair about it. Talked to a guy on the phone a couple times and they seemed alright.
They are near Fort Myers, and we don't know if you will be closer to the Keys or the Panhandle.

As long as the gun store is reasonable it doesn't really matter. There is very slim mark-up on guns, and there shouldn't be too much variation on pistol prices for a given model. You are going to know the rock bottom online price from internet searches. If a brick and mortar store near you has what you want, will let you finger it first, or maybe even test fire a range gun first, then it is worth an extra $25-50 over the rock bottom internet price. Handguns are usually like this. Some stores with ranges work a discount system on a rental if you make a purchase.
You might see a bigger price differential on more expensive long guns like a nice AR15, or semi-auto shotgun. Or maybe local shops don't have exactly what you want in stock. In that case it might make sense to shop around, or just buy online and pay the local dealer FFL transfer fee (check what that is first).

Things to look out for:
- Guns are all priced high (like $100, or more, over market)
- Charging way too much for basic accessories like magazines or ammo
- Store run by total dipshits, or assholes
- Super weird vibes for any reason
- Too much counter salesman B.S. (upselling) which no one needs in the age of the internet
^Consider leaving if you observe any of these.
While I do engage in friendly store conversations, my transactions are limited to 'Do you have X gun?, How much?, OK, here you go. Thanks, bye'
