Abortions are usually costly, too. Even if her mom was pro choice, there were many factors against young Tess aborting that older Tess didn’t have.

Fixed that, thank you. I remembered that she was young when she had Rylee, but misremembered that she was very young, like 16-18.

She ended up effectively aborting Rylee from her life regardless, too. It was ironically the best thing that she did for him if he turns out semi okay despite everything. Just sucks that he had to watch his mom describe her account like that.

I work with children and it’s been so angering to hear them talk about the election and parrot the apocalyptic things their parents have been saying. I had a child tell me “Donald Trump hates people with dark brown skin like me” why would you say that to a child!! Children need to feel safe, think the world is just, and that they have a place in it and you are telling them that the people in control of their country and 73.5 million voters hate them?

Similar to Tess, parents who are overly dramatic, paranoid, and radical can traumatize their children and stunt their socialization and normal development. These woke martyr, white savior mothers dedicated to being “just a decent fucking person” tend to be the most hateful negative people towards others which is a horrible example to set for a child. The majority of white liberal women who parent this way aren’t malicious, I think they have been convinced to hate themselves and that it’s their duty to instill woke values into their children to atone for their white privilege. However a subset of mothers like Tess are washed up former grade school bullies who crave the attention, social power and superiority they got as a child and need to grow up or risk seriously hurting their children.
