I don't think Trump wanted revenge on Biden after the first debate. My continued thoughts on that are after Biden's first major stumble Trump realized the man was a hollow shell. Trump's father died of Alzheimers, and I think he saw too much of his dad in Biden at that time and so went easy on him... ironically setting Biden up for failure as it gave him all the time he needed to flounder.
